I did get sucked into Guild Wars with DH and bff-male tonight. Suits me fine - I wish I had more time to play these days!

At one point, I had to switch characters to see if my monk had turned 2 yet (you get a birthday gift every time you hit the anniversary of the day you made a character). Still 23 months, darnit, but it should happen sometime in the next two weeks.

I was reminded whilst standing in town of why I normally leave the "All chat" tab off. Every game is probably the same here, but it's so predictable that I had to laugh:

xXKiller SmashKillXx: I hate [general group of people].

Cooler Than You: Oh yeah, well, I hate YOU! Nyer! And I'm so cool, everyone should join my guild! We R teh Haxx0rz! Except you, Killer. You suck.

Jimmy Newplayer: Can I get some gold plz? How I get monies in this game?

Captain An Noying: LFR to anywhere
Captain An Noying: LFR to anywhere
Captain An Noying: LFR to anywhere
Captain An Noying: LFR to anywhere
Captain An Noying: LFR to anywhere

Vet Eran: Running to anywhere, 1k per town, invite self

Captain An Noying: LFR to anywhere
Captain An Noying: LFR to anywhere

Vet Eran: Running to anywhere, 1k per town, invite self

(and yes, there is a PM feature :-p)

Jimmy Newplayer: Gold plz can I have some monies plz, I pay u back laters

(meanwhile, xXKiller and Cooler have been hurling various epithets at each other, the other's parents, etc.)

Princess Fluffykins [usually in pink armor]: Can't we all get along?

Jimmy Newplayer: I get along wit u for some gold plz

...and on and on it goes! :-p

This is why my guild has four people. Me, DH, nyt, and nyt's DH (bff-male prefers a larger guild for pvp reasons, as does my brother, who also plays).

Anyway...we all had a great time tonight, fought Yammirvu, Ether Guardian. After much dirtnapping, we managed to take him down. (You can see several screencaps related to that fight there, but you'll have to click "all sizes" to understand what you're seeing. Arashi is one of my two main chars. You can kinda see me here - I'm the one with bright red hair and boots and the cape with the silver dragon emblem.)

I also threw in some screens of Nat, my monk. She looks silly and is tiny, but she's a force to be reckoned with on the healing front. I love this cap of her.

That other post will have to wait; it's almost 3am here. Goodnight, all! :)

It's awful to just stand around in town and listen (I do that with Nat sometimes, as random offers of healing assistance are often met with vast appreciation...but don't get me started on the rather dubious merits of monking for most pick-up groups - another rant entirely :-D).

Yep, two years - my DH started playing just after little one was born, when he was up at college taking a summer class to finish his degree. I picked it up not two weeks later.

My name isn't really my own (on that char - some of 'em are hybrids from other places, some I make up). It came from a M:TG card called Arashi, the Sky Asunder - she was going to be a lighting ele at first. ;-)

For the first several weeks on Guild Wars I averaged 12 hours a day.  (No, I don't have a life.  No wise cracks please!)

Once I discovered SoulCast my GW time dropped to less than an hour per day.  Now I seldom play at all.

I love the open chat in towns.  One needs something to laugh at from time to time.  The spam masters are particularly annoying although.   Espsecially the ones who want to borrow 50g to open their vault.  I chated with one dude one time who makes 20 to 30 thousand g every day.  I don't think he ever actually played the game.

superthugasshole:  selling gold weapnons for more money than most of you will ever have!  Any takers?

    imtoolazytogetmyown:  Whoe dude!  How much?

superthugasshole:  More than you got, want it or not?

imtoolazytogetmyown:  Sure, hold on while I farm some cash.  brb!

    gotta love it!

    lol

rww: Yeah, that sounds about right! I would play a lot more, but it's easier to spend my free time on places like SC, since it's usually 10 minutes here or there. That's not really enough time to do anything in GW.

If you were ever interested in doing something together in-game, you can PM me your GW name and I'll add it to my friends list the next time I play. :)
