  Seriously, once I get into a steady relationship with someone I've noticed that my libido gets into a pattern. Basicly once, or twice, every other day. That pretty much covers it for me. While sometimes it does alter a bit, that is the typical.

  Kruu and Beyond.......i have to disagree with you guys...because the last years of my marriage has been even wilder than the first ones. 

  The big dip in our sexual life happened in the middle and it was due to serious elements like a deep post partum depression followed by my struggling with my new life (moving here, adjusting to new rules and behaviors and so on).

  Once i overcame that shifting phase that lasted some time we got back on track actually reaching again and even surpassing our first years's appetite.

  I'll agree that at the beginning of the relationship it's possible to not get enough!  I have to admit that in most of my relationships that were long term that I had my man on the run he was so worn out.  After that I preferred to settle into quality over quantity of 2-3 times a week.  Of course I'd like to think that if I met someone that was really "the one" that it would be more often.

  Me? Well I know I've got you all curious, so I'll share.
  It's really a question of what I'd really like, or what reality allows.
  In my head, the secret of a good relationship is to start out the day with a smile - there is nothing like a half asleep quicky, before we even open our eyes. That one does not have to involve much kissing - it is not love making, it's like a goof wake up call.
  During the day one should no be bothered, unless both sides feel  they just can't resist. that mostly happenes in the beginning of the relationship, and there is no way to tell how many times that could occure =]
  But no matter what, there is no way one can go to sleep without making passionate love to that warm body that just slipped into the bed right under the same blanket, touching bare skin, sending electric shocks right to the heart, sending it around from head to toe.
  Idealistically, I'd prefer to keep this order most days of the week, but never force it if one of us happenes to be extremely tired, depressed or just not in the mood. Sex should never be a must, it should never become a duty.  So I guess, what I am saying is that once a relationship is calmer, than twice a day, 5-7 times a week is what I would, and know I could be happy with.
   
  Reality: The 3-4 times a week is a resonable amount, hoping that there is a nice ballance of morning sex and late night love making, combined with some "Saturday afternoon siesta sex".  We all go to work, we have stress factors, we get busy with things we wanted to do but we didn't have time for. We need some time apart some times in order to be able to miss the other one, and miss sex in general. We need some "me time" when we can just spend the night with a book, or up on SC, or whatever - it'd all part of our lives the same way as sex is.
   
  Still, the first couple of months should have nothing to do with reality. It's a time to go crazy, a time to be on La La Land, a time to forget about the world and just have good sex......
   
  PS: The last time I've had that kind of a relationship was in 2003. So there you go reality check.....

  I was married for 11.5 years before I left him. For most of that marriage, we had odd shifts, and only saw each other alert one day a week, and even then, one or both of us were obligated to a family dinner, some civic or charity function, and the majority of the time, it was only once a month for us.
  
  I changed schedules, not to mention hit 30 and my libido went through the roof. I was on the same schedule as him. Instead of making up for lost time, it got worse. he wouldn't touch me. I had to beg for it, and was lucky if I got it once every 2 or 3 months.
  
  Since then, I find many men bragging about how much they want it, but when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is, they can't keep up.

  When there are no children around it is ok. But when you have a toddler in the house, how would you enjoy sex. Number of times is not the question. How much you enjoy by reaching full orgasm each time is the question. Sex is not just mechanical. So much of mental preparation is needed for enjoying it fully.
