I have a problem with my right elbow....the inner side of it.....it is very sore....I think I may be developing tendonitus or something....and I know what has caused it....it is from being on this computer for too many hours in a row, too often....I call it Soulcast Elbow....I may have to take a break from this for awhile....I'm taking too much naproxen Sodium....it seems to help...but only if I take more than it says to....anyone else ever get this?

At a time when I earned my living by programming at home, I developed a sore left elbow. I decided it was because I had changed to a chair with high arms that made me keep my elbows in close to my body. It took a long time for the soreness to go away after I changed back to a chair without arms.

Also did you know that carpel tunnel begins in the upper arm and goes into the wrists?  It could be the start of that too.  hope you feel better D6 and don't have to leave for long.  have you tried like an ace bandage brace on your elbow area?  that helped me at work.

I'd have to agree with exhibit_c about the chair. When I was still in school I generally racked up 13-14 hours computer time and got all kinds of sore in my arms. Finally I got a different chair which was fully adjustable, arms, no arms, higher, lower, lumbar adjustments. I didn't simply change to a new setup but frequently alternated between settings, especially moving from arms to no arms and the soreness finally disappeared and stayed gone.

D6! I m sorry to hear about your pain. I ve missed you but under the circumstances I understand. Perhaps there are some excercises that will help with the pain. Might be an idea to ask your MD if you can get a referal for some physio.

yeah...I've thought about that....I have a fairly physical job...a lot of light to heavy repetitive lifting.....but my yearly check up isn't for a couple of months....and I hate spending the extra dough on an extra appointment.....I was using quite a bit of naproxen sodium (just popped 3 of them)....and am trying to get away from that....I would hate to have to blog about liver damage (knock on wood)....but thanks for your concern!
