It's Friday and I thought that something light might be in order. Or maybe it isn't as light as it appears on first glance. You be the judge.

pretty spot-on, although my lone complaint is that the style does depend in part upon adhering w/ the bush administration's repeated (and hollow) attempts to liken our involvement in iraq with WW2.

I'm wondering when it became "un-American" to be individualistic or to question authority?  This fear campaign of the administration is at least as scary as the terrorists themselves.

You know with all the nukes that America has, two could have been used to 'inconvenience' Osama bin Laden and Mahmoud Ahmedinejad...but these days a certain smaller country in the Middle East will be left to do the dirty work..everyone at the U.N. and AI will complain, the EU will throw a hissyfit while secretly regretting their mass immigration policies and political asylum {for failed holy-war supporting militants who enjoy burning tires and cars in their spare time when not collecting welfare checks because the constant need for prayer prevents them from doing so but who wants to support four child-brides}...accusations will fly..and everyone will settle down and be happy about it at home, quietly and in private...

While innocent people are killed needlessly and driven out of their homes by fear over a useless wars in Somalia, Afghanistan and Iraq...still no peacekeeping troups, aid and land-peace deal for the Chechens..no war crimes tribunal for members of the army who stepped over the line...no boycott of Russia while it loses its seat on the U.N. security council....no aid for the victims of Darfur, no negotiated independence and ceasefire, no prosecution of members of the Sudanese government and army, no sanctions against the country...no aid for the South African to help victims of HIV, homelessness, displacement and fair deals on land redistribution, housing reforms, construction, roads, etc...for the thirty percent of the Black African population that lives on less than $1 a day.

I am a 23 year old war veteran, I don't mean like i went to iraq and sit on a base. I was an airborne infantrymen in the 82nd airborne and we kicked ass in plenty of places. I got a purple heart for a gunshot wound and one for getting hit with an IED. I...
It is interesting that people "say" they want peace on earth but see it as a far away thing that they have not much, if anything , to do with. Peace begins with me is an age old saying and is infact a song that is sang all over the world at every gat...
