    i disagree, newsman: what happened to "small government"? DHS and much of the legislation bush has championed is bigger government stuff than anything clinton ever succeeded at getting pushed through.

    actually, newsman: small government has always been specifically a republican thing as well, i have always thought, just as big government has traditionally been a democrat thing rather than a liberal thing.
