Exploit your TITLE!
The first most obvious point is the title of your blog. Get yourself a good book on marketing and use some action words and phrases such as 'how to', 'click here', 'check out'.
Always add enthusiasm - there are more Americans blogging than anyone, and from my experience they are a highly excitable bunch ;)
A dull title will make your blog appear as if you can't be bothered. If you can't be bothered to write it, it will show and people won't be bothered to read it.
Use terms such as: exciting, amazing, wonderful, fast, better, best...basically good happy exciting words.
