21 or not tbs230, that is a very interesting comment. It is a gut feeling? I wonder how many, especially our young people, feel that way too.
Thanks for commenting tbs230 Share more, if you can. I would be interested, especially because of your age : )

I am posting this verse (from the KJV) for the benefit of tbs230.
Could this be the atonement, as you call it?
The gut feeling that you experience?
Just a thought.
I post it for all Christians too. We need to remember this admonition and warning from our brother in Christ, Peter, the rock. He denied Christ three times. Jesus DID ask him, after His ressurection, during one of the times He appeared to His disciples...not one time, but three times, for each time that he had denied Jesus, he had to answer each question posed by Him:
From the NLT, John 21:15-17
1. After breakfast Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?" "Yes Lord, " Peter replied, "you know I love you." " Then feed my lambs, " Jesus told him.
2. Jesus repeated the question: " Simon son of John, do you love me?" " Yes, Lord, " Peter said, " you know I love you." "Then take care of my sheep, " Jesus said.
3. Once more he asked him, " Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved that Jesus asked the question a third time. He said, "Lord, you know everything, You know I love you." Jesus said, "Then feed my sheep."
The numeric additions are mine folks. The text is His ; )
But this is true tbs230...it should make you, and me, love them all the more. If you saw a child that was playing with a rattle snake...would you do everything you could to snatch that child away from it, before it struck it and fatally wounded it? Of course you would. That's how real the devil is. We must never forget that.
If we understood that, we would never look the other way and say, 'oh well...live and let live', like I hear so many say. We would do what we could and fast, to save that babie. We are all "think-babies" in God's eyes. We are His children...those of us that are His. There are tares among the wheat though tbs...for now anyway.
But will not Jews and Gentiles alike know the face of Christ in the second coming? Does not the devotion that Muslims practice to Allah at times supersede those of "Once-a-week Christians"? Will not the naturalist who believes that every rock, tree, and animal is precious, will his soul not be worthy of God?
The Jews are different in that they are a chosen people...and yes, they will recognize Him when He delivers them, or when the church is removed, hidden or raptured. I am not sure when, I only know that the Word says that they will know Him...but why must they suffer until then? I don't know. It is a mystery. I have Jewish blood too, I am fairly certain...on both sides of my family. So I have very strong ties to the Jewish people and the Northern Tribes/Israel/Ephraim as well.
The Muslims are devoted, but to a false religion. They are more obedient, devoted and dedicated than most professing Christians are. But God made promises to them too. He said that they would be a powerful nation and that they would be against everyone, and everyone would be against them. True.
So, if they are deceived, and given to believe a powerful delusion...isn't it our place, if God calls us to witness to them, to do just what He says to do? It is always our place to do what God's written Word and His rhema Word says to do...in all things, with all people.
When a Muslim converts to Christianity, they usually carry that sense of obedience, devotion and dedication into their new and true faith...but they have something else that most Christians seem to lack: They have a true sense of freedom and ever lasting gratitude for Jesus...the One that died for them...instead of a god that asked them to die for him. They know what it means to be bound, deceived and oppressed. They don't want anyone to suffer like that ever again. So, when they can share their faith (as they cannot in Muslim countries), they do, and passionately.
Instead of pointing fingers, and rushing to convert others, should we not be looking inward to make arrangements within ourselves for the Second Coming?
Yes, we should be looking inward...and admitting that we are our brother's keeper. We cannot go ramming the Gospel down the throats of others...but, we must obey the Word of God. He says we overcome the devil by the Blood of the Lamb and the power of our testimony. Just looking inward and talking to ourselves hardly helps our lost brothers and sisters to come home...before the Second Coming.
Why would we leave others to suffer the tribulation, if they might be spared? Remember Jesus is the One that said: Pray that you might be spared. Why would we leave our responsibilities undone, just to cover our own hinies, so to speak? : )
For there will be no mistaking Jesus this time, and will it not be those moments that count? When the Jews and Christians rejoice at the coming of their messiah, when everyone can look upon the face of the Lord and know within themselves that they have lived lives worthy of Paradise?
Just remember this: No one is good save for God. No one can be worthy in and of themselves. We trade our soiled filthy rags for His Garment...We put on Him...He is our Righteousness. No one is "worthy" of paradise without Him...no one. "Beware those who say 'peace, peace' where there is none"...Jesus said that, not me. Worthy is the Lamb. When I believe in Him, I also believe that I was crucified with Him, died with Him, and resurrected, or Born Again, with Him.
Some will recognize Him too late...some will bend their knee and bow to Him...even satan will do that you know...but he will not be with us in heaven, or on earth, for a very long time. He will be loosed once more, for God's purposes again. But that will be revealed long after the Second Coming and at the end of the Millenial Reign of Jesus.
I don't want anyone that I am assigned to, to suffer because I shrunk from my duty, my honor, and my good pleasure, of doing my Father's will. He wants that none should be lost...but, He is depending on us to be His hands, His feet, His mouth and His eyes...compassionate love and tender mercies. That's my next blog. Keep an eye out for it tbs230, this blog and your comments...and other's comments, have inspired it.
This is true, and it is why I do, what I do...
We should be learning the troubles of our neighbors in order to serve them better, we should be tending his flock, as he asked us to. For each time we do for one of them, we do for him.
I do not want to be found by Jesus, to be one of the goats, that refused to do what the Lord has told me to do. There is a dividing going on...He is dividing the sheep (obedient, loving, true, and fully submitted and surrendered to Jesus Christ) from the goats (willful, disobedient, self serving, complacent, self satisfied or ones that only appear to be in the flock...also a herd animal, but a different 'species').
But we gotta love them too, along The Way. He told us to pray for our enemies because many of them are actually our friends in Him...whether they know it yet or not...and, some of our friends will be turned away from Him as He says: Get away from Me, for I never knew you. Judgement started in the house of God right after Jesus death. If we shrink back from our duty, our responsibility and our honor...doing the will of God, He will take no pleasure in us. He is counting on us to gather the members of His Body...One New Man.
This is how "the bride" is perfected and prepared for Him.
Did that make sense to you? I think it ended up very long.
God bless you tbs230, you have good questions, thoughts and insights. Keep it up dear. I still pray for Haiti. How are things at "home" now?
Love in Christ,
