I was reading the latest post from Suddenrain. She thought she had offended someone but wasn't sure how. I commented that she should PM the person and see if they could figure it out, but when I pressed "Submit" I got "this page does not exist". I went to her blog and found that all her posts have been removed and her profile changed to "I have to go.." What the hell is going on? Are we flaming new bloggers now, and driving them away because we're jealous of how many comments they get? This seems pretty pitiful to me.

Actorguy, I have to tell you that this wasn't the reason she left. She made a comment on DestinyDiva's anonymous post that she was a famous actress. But she didn't push the anonymous button!! She gave herself away. I suspect this is why she left so abruptly....

Actorguy: I was also concerned that she had been upset because someone, I can't remember who she posted about, was kind of rude to her because she seemed to be getting lots of comments quickly and the other person hadn't been even though they were here longer.
Honestly, there is no telling how people get comments and subscribers sometimes, so, it's silly to be rude to someone because they have more comments.
All in all, it's just too darn bad she's gone. -

Zayda: That's the post I'm talking about. I was in the process of telling her that she could hardly be blamed for that, when her blog vanished. My suspicion is that that person sent her a nasty response that drove her away. I hope that's not what happened but I suspect it is.

I guess we'll probably never know for sure why she left. I just assumed it was about that non-anonymous comment. Someone asked her to reveal her name, and not her screen name. And also asked if she was male or female. And if she found solace here. She answered that she wouldn't give out her name because it wouldn't be anonymous, but she was a woman. And that she had fun here. And would not reveal more than that. Within probably ten minutes of posting that, everything was gone.
I just assumed she freaked out when she realized that she forgot to hit the anon box. But if it was really someone else here who upset her enough to make her leave, that sucks.

I've wondered a few times about the people here and who they could be. Because it is anon, Queen Elizabeth could be a blogger here for all I know. I could be Queen Elizabeth or I could just be a regular mom trying like all the rest to figure it out from day to day. We're all just people. Maybe one day you'll decide to start posting again. I think that part is good for all of us - being able to write and get it all out.

Suddenrain: Thanks. I don't know for sure why I picked the name. When I first got on SC, I wanted something simple. I was "waiting on my butt and thinking" and thus "Wombat" was born!" I thought it worked, but I do believe someone said there was another wombat somewhere. I hope I haven't messed up by being one--I have no connection to Australia. I just liked the name.
