This did not happen to me.
A man found himself seated next to an attractive woman on a long airplane flight. They had a very pleasant time talking, comparing notes about their trips, etc. When they landed, the woman suggested that they share a cab to their respective motel/hotels. They dropped the woman at her motel first. On the way to the man's hotel, he noticed the woman had left her coat in the cab. He directed the taxi to go back to the woman's motel. He got the room number from the font desk, and took the coat to the woman's room. She invited him in, and seduced him. The woman admitted that she left the coat in the taxi on purpose to get him to her room.
As told to me, the story did not include details of getting the man's luggage, etc. from the taxi. I think this story is credible. It would have happend decades ago before all the security constraints that might now prevent the front desk from revealing the woman's room number.
This woman took the risk of losing a coat worth maybe a couple hundred dollars for the chance of making the pickup.

I knew a woman who had a huge crush on this guy for a couple years. They had never spoken and she talked about him constantly/ They lived on the same street. both were single.
