Ok….this is going to be a two-part blog….the first part is a funny….second part not so much…..
I’ve blogged about my youngest daughter before. She will be turning 4 in September and she is currently causing quite a ruckus with her behavior at home. Anyway, yesterday I was drinking a soda out of a cup with a straw….a big gulp actually. She came over to me and asked very sweetly and with perfect manners if she could have a sip of my soda.
She takes a sip while I was distracted with something and she says “Mommy, there is something in your soda.”
I look and say, “Yes baby, its ice.”
“No mommy, its somfin’ else.”
I look into the soda, don’t see anything and I take a sip through the straw. I feel something hit the back of my throat, but it happened so fast that I was unable to stop myself from swallowing “the object.” I freaked out!
“Oh my god! What did you put in Mommy’s drink?!!!”
“A shoe.”
“A what?!?!?!?”
“A Polly shoe Mommy.”
Holy crap!!!! I just swallowed a tiny doll shoe!!!!!!!!!!!! I was SOOOO angry and starting asking, ok, yelling, why did you do this!!!!! She said she was sorry and could she have it back. LOL….have it back!!! I told her no she could not have it back, the shoe was now in Mommy’s tummy and now Mommy is very angry!!!! She couldn’t figure out why the shoe was now in my stomach and I explained what happened….she stopped crying, looked at me very seriously and asked…….
“Did it taste good Mommy?”
I stared at her for a beat…..then I couldn’t help it….I burst out laughing!!!!!!!! Through my laughter, I was trying to tell her how upset I was that she did this, but how serious can you sound when you are laughing?!?!?!
That’s just a chip off the iceberg…..I will post my more serious part II soon….I’m gonna need some help!!!
