If I liked Lord of the Rings, and read Terry Pratchett, does it automatically make me a candidate to read Harry Potter

 

 

After the huge fuss about the latest book, I wondered, should I give "Harry Potter" a go? I haven't read one or seen a movie.

 

So my queastion, is it comparable to Lord of the Rings and Terry Pratchett, or does JK Rowling have a better marketing team?
