  The "you have an ecard" ones are definitely loaded with a virus or malware. Stay the heck away from anything like that.
  
  I get a few of these each day. Since I have a business email address out on the web, I am subject to a fair amount of spam. My primary defense against the garbage that gets past my filters is to start my day by checking email via webmail. That way, I can look at the subject lines and sender IDs without downloading anything to my computer via Outlook.
  
  i hate the crap. Not only would I get nothing done if I actually looked at all the spam I get, but I'd have a penis the size of Long Island if I tried all the products they offer. ;)

  I read somewhere that they arrested one of the most notorious spammers and the number of emails worldwide went down 10%.

  Heck yes - they're filling my bulk mail with "You have a greeting from a neighbor!" and the like. :-p Poo on the doorstep I could believe, but not an e-card.
