How many teams can throw a season the way they can? The best lineup in baseball, or what should've been the best line-up is producing 5 runs a game. They are only 3 games above .500. They're 9 games back in the A.L. East, and at least 8 back in the wild card. Are these insurmountable? NO!
    People are already, and have been for a while, casting aside the New York Yankees. I'm here to say WATCH OUT! The Yankees are not done yet, and anyone who thinks otherwise is in for a huge shock. When they show up, they're going to win.
    I don't want to think about next year, because I think they may be in even more trouble. For this year, they're going to make the play-offs. Just wait.
    When their bats are going, they can hit any pitcher in the game for 8 or 9 runs. Their bullpen is weak, but should be able to hold a 3 or 4 run lead over 3 innings. Rivera will still close out most of his games, and if he's got more than a one run lead, he'll almost guarantee the win.
    Yes, a lot of their players are overpaid. They'll have to fix that next year. This year, and that IS what matters, the Yankees need to keep fighting. Their 5 game sweep in Boston last year sewed up their play-off berth, and I believe they can do that again this year. It won't be easy, it'll be a miracle. Just like coming from a 3-0 deficit to win the series. It's not impossible.
