  my favorite part of the whole movie is after the flower scene when he said "No don't go to sleep. We should talk about something....like STICKERS!! Do you like stickers??" lol... it just makes me laugh.

  Sadly, as I recently revealed in one of my posts, I've gone A LOT longer than 40 days. It's not a happy place to be. But it can definitely be done. I haven't seen this movie, but I imagine if you had someone constantly enticing you and offering you sex, and you couldn't have it, it would be much harder to abstain. But if you're like me and didn't have much of a choice, you simply make due with the hardship!

  Hmmmm...that could be a follow up post Mirror. How long has everyone gone without sex? Anyway...I saw the movie and thought it was pretty creative and cute. Sadly I've probably gone longer without sex than any on soulcast except for Queen. :-)

  E_T:  that's a good point. And I think as soon as you decide you aren't going to do something, that is all you can think about. And that probably makes it more difficult as well. 
   
  suddenrain: I started to feel bad for him when he started to twitch, shake and sweat!  I've gone quite a while... a year and a half or so but I was so preoccupied with my son that I didn't really notice...I mean I did...but I didn't. lol

  I went through a couple of periods after my ex and I separated in which I didn't have sex for three or four months at a time. That's the longest I've gone since I started having sex.

  I don't find sex a priority in my life anymore. Actually it never was a priority. I'm more into a soulful connection. Intimacy comes from that for me. If I don't have that, then there's no sexual thoughts. So, as I said, its been years for me. I miss the mental connection that comes with that. I don't twitch, shake or sweat though. LoL  :-)

  Ah, yes, see I hadn't seen the movie and did not realize that was a stipulation. Even with my hands tied behind my back, I'd probably find some other way to take care of things! I can only imagine how cranky and unpleasant he was to be around. That frustration would be pretty unbearable. At least for me! And I suspect just about every other man around too...

  I've seen this film, it was ages ago tho, and all I can remember is the bets, and the laundry room...and that I enjoyed it :-)     I have gone longer than 40 days, but not easily :-)
