  Uh most of the racism about Asians goes right to the things you've mentioned.  They are over acheiving, nerds, computer programmers and geeks.  Honestly due to their society they do usually end up in AP and Honors programs, sure there are some that don't just like there are ghetto Asians.  Since I don't get the impression these are the sterotypes you are talking about though I'd like to know what you are specifically talking about.

  Well everyone must hate for a reason. I mean why hate Asians, sorry for being Bias. I am Asian. But anyway Asians contribute a lot to society and they rarely gets in trouble. Just look at your school Sat score, Asians really helped raise some of those score. I don't hate Blacks for what they are, I hate blacks for what they do. ( That should be the best response.)   I think Sean is saying that you are mistaking treatment that any overachieving
  nerd (Asian, Caucasian, or anyone) gets as racism. There is that, and there is
  real racism. Sometimes racism is based on general feelings. Such as, there are
  probably still people who are bent out of shape because of what went on in
  World War II, Korea, or Vietnam. All wars with Asians. Sometimes racism is more
  personal. When you see several Asians driving like maniacs, you start to think
  that anyone that looks Asian is a maniac driver. It is just human nature. I am
  sure you have racist feelings about other races, like your statement about
  blacks and hispanics usually getting in trouble. Maybe they get in trouble more
  because they are in a society geared to caucasians, but that is what you
  have to deal with in this country. The best advice I could give to anyone 
  coming to America would be learn the language, develop a hard shell, and
  try not to take things too personally. If people heckle you because you are
  overachieving, just take comfort in knowing you will probably be their boss

  Now tell me with a straight face that he's not making sweeping generalizations about a race?  Is that not the very definition of racist?  If were to say that blacks are better at sports, then quoted boxing, football, basketball and track as proof I would still be a racist (which to that extent I am slightly)  I won't lie I make those same statements, and I'll admit that while it doesn't effect my opinion of you once I get to know you, I can only speak to so many people in a given day or moment and yes in addition to clothing, your appearance to include your hair, race, and bust size is factored in when I decide which person I'm going to speak to or what not.

  No I'm not, though to be fair all of the data suggests that Asians are only abnormally hard working when their parents were born overseas.   Second and third generation become "normal" Americans.

  Asians are discriminated against in America. Turn on the television, you rarely see Asian males, and if you do they are in stereotypical roles. Tell me the last time you saw an articulate, Asian dude on tv. Probably never. Look at Heroes, they cast the dorkiest looking Asian dude who barely speaks English. It's almost like Hollywood wants to perpetuate stereotypes when it comes to Asians. But when it comes to blacks, they are careful not to cast them as murderers, rapists, and grimy dudes now. Look at the commercials, its a white dude and a black guy. The white guy always messes up, and the black guy is supposed to look hip. Things need to change, and its gotta start somewhere.

  I'm Asian and I wished I was in AP classes ha. I've actually struggled through mathematics throughout my entire life, which is stereotyped to be an Asian's strongest subject. Even now in college, I find myself having to get tutored. I'm not obsessed with video games, I drive an old American muscle car, and I find anime/manga to be boring. Really, the only stereotype I would fit would be my looks and ancestry, which are traits.. I can't change. Also, although you put blacks and Hispanics on the spot here, it is statistically accurate that black males are a high percentage of crimes (mostly with one another), however, it doesn't mean the entire population should be labeled for that fact. Honestly, some stereotypes can be found common in a population, that's how they're interrupted. But, in reality we're all human and any stereotype shouldn't be a label for an entire group of people. If someone really uses a label for an entire population of people, then they're obviously ignorant.

  Don't know why it would surprise you, asians are racist against everyone, including other asians. Japan regularly denies promotion and advancement in the work place when they discover Korean/Chinese/Vietnamese ancestry in the potential candidate. Even with people who are native born Japanese. Asian countries have very closely knit societies that focus on family, and tradition..and are VERY unwelcoming of outsiders. The form of racism isn't the same as in western counties. Rather than persecute because of the what race the individual is, they persecute for what race they aren't...Asian. So please stop exalting the Asian race to some status of nobility, and awe. Any 'foreigner' living in an Asian country would never be completely accepted into their society, they will always be treated differently. Just because they don't throw around slurs, doesn't mean they aren't thinking them. Get over yourself.

  The point I was making was that EVERYONE is racist. The individual who made this retarded thread to begin with had a "oh woah is the Asian race" mentality. "Asians are so great and wonderful, and smart, and charming, why do people hate us?" He spoke as if his race was God's gift to the world, and beyond racism themselves, so I chose to enlighten him.
  
  It doesn't matter if you're white, black, latino, asian, arab, etc. everyone is guilty of racism at some point in their life.

  asians are not very racist, but more xenophobic in their home countries because of the culture. americans are more racist though it was surprising to learn because of that "multicultural" or "melting pot" label. you learn those are labels and human nature is different than what any country tries to implement.
