I'm not saying that what comes out of Moore's is Gospel truth but he has valid points. Or at least thats what I think of controversial director Micheal Moore's Documentary or better said "mocumentary" 'Sicko". Much is the style of of Fahrenheit 9/11 he uses clips of President Bush and other notable politicians (even Democrats such as Hillary Clinton) to criticize and mock their inability to promote health care reform in the US. He bashes the government and corporate America for their lack of compassion and remorse in running the system the way they do. He also tells us as a Democracy to take action and not be afraid.
Another strong point in the documentary is that he uses real life people with real life medical system horror stories to illustrate his point They range from 9/11 hero's to a young cancer survivor and mother to a finger amputee who had to chose what finger he wanted to keep because he couldn't pay for example.He compares and contrasts the medical systems of Canada, Great Britain, France , and even our long time enemy Cuba to our own. These systems are very humane economical and patient friendly according to Moore.He also runs the American Medical system's reputation to the ground using congressional hearings footage and some infamous Nixon tapes in which according to him President Nixon cuts a deal with Kaiser Permanente to change the until the human American medical system to maximize profits.
He also says that part of the issue Many Americans are hopelessly in debt with student loans, huge bills, and extremely expensive drugs because of many inhumane capitalistic practices.
As an unemployed college graduate hopelessly in debt with student loans and as with a disability, that depends on SSI which is below the poverty level amount and I depend on medical for expensive and (I mean expensive medical equipment my power wheelchair cost 10, 000 bucks and my leg braces 1,000. ) I am also in danger of loosing medial if I start working which I want to do Moore's message somewhat resonates me. I also have a mother that is very ill and that has to go to Tijuana for a decent prognosis for her ailments because Kaiser will not approve her treatments I can attest to the veracity of many of Moore's claims. However, Moore even if he is insightful and entertains, he fails to provide solutions ( beside massive protests)to many of the problems he posses in his new film.

i'm totally with you. our country is great at taking our money, right out of our paychecks, but it isn't concerned enough about giving us value for that money. it would prefer to just take and not give back. it would prefer to just leave you hanging.
to me, a perfect example is the typical emergency room in anyhospital in anytown, usa. you walk in there with an arrow sticking out of your eye, and you have to wait four or five hours to see a doc, because they don't hire enough doctors, because they frankly don't give a damn that you are suffering. they are happy to take a good chunk of every paycheck you will ever get, but they couldn't care less that you are suffering, and they feel no responsibility to be there for you when you need them.

First of all, Mr. Moore's repeated use of clips to support his claim that the U.S. sucks at healthcare is not even necessary. The track record is proof enough.
Second, He does in fact offer solutions......nay, one solution. Socialized medicine. I am aware that Micheal Moore is somewhat of a sensationalist but he is a gadfly, similar to Socrates, this is what he does; question government, only to make it better. In spite of what personal feelings anyone may have about Mr. Moore, you cannot deny the facts that he presents and he invites you to research his claims.
Just recently, he embarrassed CNN's Wolf Blitzer and CNN as a whole, causing them to rescind their earlier comments as they were bold faced attempts to discredit Mr. Moore. -

I didn't realize that Michael Moore had a new film out. Thanks for letting us know. I like your analysis of the film. And I agree that socialized medicine is the way to go. I've thought so for at least the last 30 years, but don't know if we'll ever see it happen. Medicine is just too big and profitable a business in the US. Sorry about the underlining. I can't seem to turn it off.

thank you for your positive comments all I have to say is what ever happen to the people sould not be afraid of its government the goverment should be afraid of its people. Why cant we get good medical insurance and why does moore have to be investiaged by the government for openly speaking his mind
