  Hmmm, well.  I like ER, Scrubs, House and every now and then grey's anatomy though I can't seem to keep up with the plot.  I worked as an ER clerk for 7 years, so I have tremendous respect for nurses and doctors.  I also like to yell at the TV when they do something stupid on the medical shows.  (just a little knowledge is a dangerous thing in my case)  I also like CSI, Mind of Mencia, all kinds of martial arts movies, with Kung Fu Hustle being the funniest one I've ever seen.

  I like all types of music, I have two teenage children, I studied martial arts until recently and I work as an admin. assist. for a large transport company.

  I think you'll find that I speak my mind, popular or not, and that I always root for the under dog.

  Is it okay if I just call you Natalie?  I call my boyfriend cutie and I don't wanna get confused.  I would almost cry if I missed an episode of Buffy or Angel.  I taped every episode, the series started before the popularity of TV to DVD, and now my mother (ugh!) owns every season of both series cuz I got her hooked and she had more $$$$ than I do to buy em.  Okay that's my mini tirade.  Spike is my hubba hubba guy, Xander follows him.  Loved friends when it was on but haven't watched reruns in a long time. 
   
  My new love is CSI: LV and I'm a huge Grissom/Sara shipper - nobody tell me anything about the last season cuz I haven't watched it yet!  I'm just finishing up season 6 on DVD. 
   
  Johnny Depp is so very cute - and yes I know I'm starting to sound just like my 9 year old neice, but he is.   Anything with Kevin Spacey and I'm happy.  I don't watch TV as much as I did 3 or 4 years ago but I'm starting to catch up with movies on Netflix.  We just watched Return to Me and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.  J, that's my honey, is a sucker for a romantic comedy too.

  I'm a huge Buffy fan as well.  And like Silver,I'm a Joss Whedon fan.  Other favorite television shows:  CSI Miami, NY, and LV.  I rather like all of them, to be honest.  I'm a big Gary Sinise fan; although I dislike the movie Forrest Gump as a whole, I like Gary Sinise's performance in it.  I also like his performance in Apollo 13 and The Green Mile. I'm also hooked on all things Food Network.  And I'm fascinated by many shows on Discovery Channel, such as Dirty Jobs and The Deadliest Catch.
  
  Favorite movies:  Princess Bride, Dead Poet's Society, pretty much all the Star Wars, Harry Potter movies  (and the books).

  I love House and Grey's Anatomy.... I like CSI but I like to watch MIAMI because the guy in the lab is so hot....I'm all flustered right now just thinking about him so I can't remember his name. My other celebrity crush is Hugh Grant. I love watching his romantic comedies because I'm convinced they are about me and him...LOL
   
  I resigned in June from the only job I have ever had to go back to school in August. I worked there for seven years so it was a big change for me. I'm spending the summer with my kids... they are 7 and 3 and I felt like I was missing everything about their lives. I'm thrilled to have this time with them now. ... I feel like I just keep rambling here!

  Notsosingle, Yay! Another Buffy fan!! Look on Ebay.....they sometimes have DVD's for cheap. Spike is hotness personified. Kyle met him!!! Like five times! I've seen the pictures! I'm so jealous......LOL But I do have a soft spot for Xander because he's the type of guy I'd like in real life. But Spike is fantasy hotness.....Big Fat Greek Wedding was a great movie! I loved that one too....
   
  Zayda, another Joss fan! Did you watch Firefly too? Kyle showed me a few eps. but then we started watching Friends instead. I like the captain guy of Serenity though!   Hi Natalie...I love Friends...all time favoite, I still watch the reruns all the time. I love any tv shows about hospitals...my favorite is Grey's Anatomy, I'm so addicted to it..can't wait till it comes back on!  Right now i'm watching Big Brother...my favorite reality show.
   
  I've always wanted to be a RN and work in surgery...that's a big dream of mine that hopefully one day i'll be able to make it come true. I had kids so young at 18 and i now have three boys...so between them and my full time job i stay pretty busy and on top of that i'm a newly single mom...so that's been an experience in itself! 
   
  I think it's great how you want to get to know everyone...and i think this is a great way to do it.

  I am a big fan of Friends also--for Christmas my hubby bought me every episode on DVD!  I enjoy most thirty minute comedies, especially Frasier, King of Queens, That 70's show, etc....  I don't take time to watch many hour long shows, and so I miss out on alot!  I am usually spending my free time reading crime novels, hanging out on SC, and enjoying being outside day or night, just looking at the sky.  I daydream alot and I enjoy creative writing.   Oh, and like NotSoSinglechick25--am nutsoid over Johnny Depp!

  allswell, I have never seen Big Brother...actually, I take that back. I did watch a few eps of the very first season, but nothing ever happened. I thought there would be like naked people and sex or fights or something. But they would just sit there and talk about stuff. Did it get more exciting?

  That's cool you want to be a nurse. It's a great job. It can be really hard though, depending on where you work. I like working at the ER clinic because the hours are normal, and the ailments are usually simple. I worked the trauma room for a short time and it was just horrible for me. I get too upset when people die and I saw too much of that.....working for a doctor's office or in one of the other wards at the hospital is good though. Better than trauma. I assisted a plastic surgeon once during lipo....that was nasty, but SO cool! LOL!

  wombat, Friends is just the best comedy show ever, IMO. I can't remember an episode I didn't like. I have 5 seasons on DVD, so I still need the rest. My fave stories were Ross/Rachel first getting together and Monica/Chandler getting together. I loved when they were hiding from everyone!

  Fraiser is very good too, and I like that 70's Show. I like Hyde!

  I like friends....but as far as reruns go...I'm more of a Seinfeld kind a guy....movies...my all time favorite is pale rider....music....I like a mix of stuff....60's 70's 80's 90's even some new stuff.....pop, rock, country, some R&B.....even like rap when I hear the reeeeeeal old stuff.....anyone remember rappers delight?...heard it the other day on my favorite station....I like to cook....I am in the process of building my patio complete with an outdoor kitchen and a woodfired oven.....married , 2 kids, dog, cat.....now will you please take that light out of my face? ;p

  I am SO jealous! I would have loved to see the Idol finale live!! I love Carrie Underwood..I like her new song..Wasted...

  Love Kelly too..they are my two favorite idols...the others..eh..they're alright. .. I love love love LaKisha Jones from this season..but she came in fourth..I was crushed. I like Chris Daughtry whole bunches too ...  I am going to see Nickelback next week!!! So excited..Daughtry was supposed to open for them but I think Hedley is opening since it's a festival and not a stadium tour.

  I think it's cool that we have so much in common! .. As for nursing..my dream is to work in Africa...in different countries in the third world...at least for a year.. I am Canadian so the health care system is completely different here..I'm told that if you want to -make money- you have to go to the states..many hospitals recruit Canadian nurses ... I don't know yet what I'm going to do .. I don't think Emergency is for me ...lol..I'm not one of those who can think fast on their feet..but I'm good in a crisis..calm..so that's something ... A lot of girls in my class want to work in labor and delivery..not me...good grief. No thank you. I can take blood and guts..I love to see really cool things..we got to watch an operation during our med surg rotation and I thought it was awesome to see a hip being pulled out of joint..

  Nursing is a lot of hard work ... but it's worth it..no matter how many crazy patients or run off your feet days..it's worth it when you know you help at least one person..-sniff sniff..-

Music - eh, I like almost everything, though I grew up on country. Scattered on the floor of my car, I have Trace Atkins, Linkin Park, Evanescence, and The Lion King soundtrack, if that tells you anything! :-D My current fave song is probably "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol.

  On TV, I watch Lost, CSI, Jericho, and Burn Notice. Love anime, expecially Hayao Miyazaki and his Studio Ghibli. A good part of the anime I watch is either strange, really strange, or romantic comedy. I also love British comedies, dramas, and Zatoichi movies.

  Hmmmm....about me.....good question!  I am currently under construction (LOL) but will tell you what I know so far! 

  I'm not quite happily married.....I have 2 wonderful girls and I'm in the middle of a career change.  Crazy times right now, which is what lead me to here! :-)

  I have to admit, I have not seen Buffy ****ducks and runs for cover*** but I think that I will have to check that out, since so many people here love it.  I did see the original movie however!  :-)

  I like action/suspense movies and comedies....not so much a "chick flick" movie kind of girl, it has to be really good.  Friends was my favorite show of all time!!!  I feel like I kind of "grew up with it".  I was in my early 20's when it came on and I felt like I went through all the stuff they did, they were just funnier than me! 

  24 is my second favorite TV show of all time, and I am watching Big brother right now.  You should give it another shot if you have time.  The first season I hear was the worst, I didn't pick it up until the 6th season (this is 8).

  hi there...I am in my forties, married, one daughter. TV...I loved greys anatomy this season and two showtime series called weeds and dexter...they were fun to watch all at once, like mini marathons b/c we just got the channels and had no idea they were even on!

  I am a bon jovi freak and I also like Rob Thomas, hootie and the blowfish, but my all time fav is The Eagles and Don Henley. I recently saw stevie nicks and so I am channelling my inner Rhiannon...

  Fav celeb crush...um, jon bon jovi. I think I would marry him immediately if he called me.

  For hobbies, I am now into ballet and pilates. Nice!! It makes me feel healthy and strong!!

  Hi Natalie, I'm Actorguy.  Basically I love all things Shakespeare and live theatre.  Don't get to watch much TV but, like allswell, I'm addicted to Gray's Anatomy and Big Brother.  I'll watch CSI NY if I'm home because I love Gary Sinise, likewise Criminal Minds because I love Mandy Patinkin and NCIS because I love David McCallum (he's the Medical Examiner).

We watch TV and my favorites are "American Idol"  (sad to see that end) Grey's Anatomy, Big Love, Weeds, (we really love HBO and SHOWTIME series) I like to garden (flowers), scrapbooks, shopping, and VACATIONS.  (just got home from vacation!)  I want to travel to lots of places, but not all by car.  LOL.  I keep a written journal and have my grandmothers diaries dating back to the 60's when I was born.  I hate housework and love clean sheets.

  I love Law & Order SVU & CSI Vegas too. My husband (Thebillman here on SC) and I are really into Lost, Heroes, 4400, Dead Zone, Family Guy, Nip/Tuck,  and Eureka. We have the DVR so we can watch a lot of different shows whenever we have the time.....LOVE IT!!! We are also big fans of Buffy, Charmed, Seinfeld, X-Files, Twin Peaks and Star Trek (all of them). We collect the DVD sets.
   
  I'm a big movie person so picking a favorite movie is impossible, but some of my favorites off the top of my head would be....What's up Doc, Some Like it Hot, Aliens (all of them), Rocky Horror Picture Show, Clue.
   
  My favorite pass time is writing. I just started doing Stand-Up Comedy. I love all kinds of music, some favorites right now are....Smashing Pumpkins (they are back together YEAH), Marilyn Manson, Garbage, Moby, White Stripes.

  e_t may tell you that I'm saying these things because I'm currently depressed, but that's only partially true.  I really don't watch TV very much.  I'm a pretty easygoing fella that generally likes everything.  Something has to be pretty bad for me to say, "That's not good". 
  
  Except for Tom Cruise.  He is evil and he needs to be destroyed.  Him and all his scientology buddies.

Besides that I enjoy sports, I play football (soccer), go to fitness when I can, and try and keep up with movies in the cinema. What I do have in common with you is that me and my b/f recently moved in together, with the difference that we had a 5 year long-distance thing (different countries) going on before we got to this point.   I love Buffy and Angel too (but you already knew that!!)! I have all of the seasons on DVD, the original pilot (with the non-Alyson Willow), and the dailies from "Smashed" and "Wrecked". I don't have any action figures, but I do have the original BTVS board game from Britian still in it's original plastic! I am a HUGE James Marsters fan. Kyle sucks!!!! No, not really, but seriously!!!! He sent me the pics of James, and I nearly DIED. I so need to get a Spike to play with me. :) I follow Spike with the broodiness of Angel. Gotta love that smolder. That's why I love Bones.... not really, I like Bones because it's interesting.
   
  I love House, Bones, Mystery Diagnosis and Diagnosis Unknown (those last 2 are on Discovery Health!). I stopped watching er after it got too "soap opera-y". That and I actually wrote NBC to complain about something.... I'll PM you it if you want. It's got revealing details about my profession, etc, so I'd rather PM it. :) Yup, I'm in medicine too!!!
   
  I watched the first 2 seasons of Hell's Kitchen. I haven't seen a single episode this season because I'm so busy with the house!!! But holy crap!!! I have SVU on DVD!! How weird is that?!

  I'm not big on romantic movies. I like Comedy and Horror/Thriller. My favorite actor is Nicolas Cage, with a very close second going to Ryan Reynolds. I'm working on the RR collection, but I have almost everything NC's ever made. It takes up a whole shelf of DVD's/VHS'.

  Oh, and Holy Shit!! I have had the hots for Jason Mewes forever!! Don't ask me why..... a foul-mouthed, skater-punk with long-ass hair.... Seriously though, he's hot! "First you take a run at La Fours with a sock full of quarters. I'd do it, but I pulled my back at humping your mom last night." bwahahahahaha!!!

  My favorite KS movie is Dogma. Being raised Catholic, I find SERIOUS humor in it!!!! I would have to say though, that the order I like them is: Dogma, Mallrats (very, very close second), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks, and Chasing Amy (I haven't seen Clerks 2 yet). I'm not big on Clerks, and I don't really know why.... Lack of color??? Dante Hicks?? I just don't know.

  Other fast facts: I have a cat and a dog. I graduated HS in '97. My favorite color is Orange. My favorite smells are fruity smells. I'm an admitted Bath and Body Works junkie, and I'm a Guitar Hero addict.

  I speak my mind, irritate others, and get "verbally" assaulted from time to time. I'm looking forward to knowing you better, and I hope that you concur. Thanks for subscribing to me, and give Kyle a hug for me. :) That's for all the nice things he says about you. I've given him virtual hugs, but you can actually do it for me.

I enjoying being the 63 year old father of three daughters and grandfather to five and two thirds children as well as 'daddy' to a very loving pair of shih tzu. (They d love to play with your cats.) I m a gay man and sometimes feel a bit outnumbered here but always feel very welcome even though I rattle a few chains now and then. I feel a sort of bond with you in that my ex partner is an RN as well. I love Friends, Reba and (maybe I shouldnt admit but...) The Simpsons. In movies I m fond of the epic stuff....Cleopatra, Gone With the Wind, Dr. Zhivago, etc..ad infinum. I recently become I roadie I think but you ll have to watch my blog to find out how that happened.....hehehe.

  I started with Clerks (which is a cult classic in our house)

  then Mallrats(also a cult classic), Dogma, (OK let's face it

  they're ALL cult classics) and then Jay & Silent Bob Strike

  Back...I love how he sort of takes a little bit from Clerks and

  kind of weaves it in with Mallrats and J & SB. Hilarious!!

  I am a movie fan in general, but classics are my favorites.

  Especially the suspense/thriller type, also film noir when I'm

  in the mood for it. Anything by Hitchcock is my favorite!

  My best is "Dial M for Murder", Grace Kelly was destined

  to end up a princess.

  Most of what I do is artwork ( currently doing what I call

  "pop-art" collages, and I write. I've had some things

  published, but being ill for a bit has slowed me down.

  So I have what may someday be THE great American

  novel, sitting on its shelf, waiting to be completed!!

  Climate's cool, natives are (generally~LOL) friendly.

  Today we're roasting pig on a spit, Sweet Cookie and

  Queenie are in charge of multi-cultural dishes. Grape

  Kool-Aid is bringing the drinks, and his sketches.

  Silverwhisper will arrive (come hell or high water without

  his laptop!!) Botoni is journeying down from Canada,

  and I'm in charge of decorations. Anyone not mentioned

  are, of course coming, i'm just not sure what they might

  bring....

  Nat is at work and probably will not see the new comments until she gets home, but I gotta say, this was a great post. Honestly, she knows more about you guys than I did! I never thought to ask such a simple question, and yet all of you were more than willing to share. It's great to know more about everyone.
  
  And just in case anyone else wants to know my interests (since she already knows) I'll list them here.
  
  My favorite TV shows are Seinfeld, Friends, Buffy/Angel, Firefly, Law and Order (all of them), House, Hells Kitchen and Survivor. But I really used to watch a lot of TV and probably have seen just about everything.
  
  I echo what my cutie said about Kevin Smith movies. I love 'em! I can't pick a favorite, because they're all good. He has a new coming out about two guys writing a porno and I saw part of the script and died laughing. Classic Kevin Smith filth. It's gonna be hilarious.
  
  I also love Pulp Fiction and have seen it about a thousand time. I can quote the entire speech Samuel Jackson gives before he shoots someone....plus the scene in the restaurant about the bacon and the charming pig.
  
  Not to mention Star Wars as my all time favorite movie trilogy. Just the old ones, not the new ones. Those kinda sucked.

Remember the scene with the Buffybot and Xander was talking about Spike's compact, yet muscular body? And Buffy says---I'm not sleeping with Spike, but I'm starting to think you might be! Well, that's what I said to him.....LOL

  He didn't like that either. I got a pillow thrown at me!

  I wish I could spend more time addressing everyone, but I'm just overwhelmed! I will thank y ou all again though for sharing! Was this fun for you guys too? Did you all learn something about each other?

  As for me, you may already know I love mountains and photographing natural landscapes. My fav band is Sloan from Canada but I am a big fan of Deep Purple too. My fav TV series is Britain's Red Dwarf (have all the DVDs) and I love watching Roswell with K. K is my ex-fiancee soon to be reinstated fiancee and partner for life (without a doubt, I know that now). Roswell is her fav show and she has all the DVDs. She also loves Sloan. We will have to meet you guys someday, you know. Either you can come to Japan or we will have to visit L.A.

  TV is pretty darn terrific. Back in the 50's I used to love to six outside naked during thunderstorms and watch I Love Lucy playing the living room. Very nice I must say.
