Weather : Hot, but at least the sun is down so your skin dosn't burn. Time : 2:38A.M. My friends just came in, my best friend in fact, drunk as hell, with a few local hotties. They wanted the bottle of tequila in the freezer. They begged for me to partake in a party at the pool. I feel like shit, say no, and still they loudly boast. He tells me about how much money he spent at the bar, an amazing amount. He falls into the wall laughing. I feel a little bad for not going because he seems a little upset. I brush it off. He won't remember, and he is going to get laid, so why would I want to be there anyways. What a time we are living in. Waiting and working for a better life.

um...you do realize he was inviting you so that your likelihood of having sex w/ one of the local hotties would have increased substantially, no? ed

Stop feeling sorry for yourself and get up off your dead ass and interact with the real world. Do you think women will be looking you up in your jammies??? Sure life sucks and you feel bad. Thats why they call it life, If it was easier they'd call it.....pudding.

Yo cricket, I think I see what you're saying. You want to be better and miraculously cured of diabetes, but why would you want to be cured just to blow tons of money, get drunk and get laid and never remember any of it? Waking up with an STD one day could be just as unfair as diabetes. I think you want more to life from that, especially if you're cured. Honestly? I won't try to rationalize or figure out why you have diabetes, but hear me out: sometimes God will let us go through a difficult time in order to protect us from something worse. I heard this story tonight in church: a Holocaust survivor, a young woman in the time of WW2, was a Jew in a Nazi labor camp. At one point she contracted body lice. She was furious at God for letting her get body lice, and was miserable and angry at God for not protecting her from such a horrible thing. As it turns out, eventually the Nazi soldiers would come in and examine the Jewish women, in order to rape the healthy ones. They examined them because they would only take the ones who did not have body lice. The woman survived the war and was grateful for the temporary affliction, because it kept her from suffering much worse. ANd in your situation, it might be totally unfair and awful that you must suffer now, but if it keeps you from a free-spending, drunken, promiscuous lifestyle that could make things worse, your diabetes might then be a blessing. Just something for you to consider, bro. My wife and I keep praying for your recovery.
