When I hit 10 years old my hair started to recede to
the horror of my mother, I was too young to understand.
Since everyone on my mom's side of the family had shit
for hair I should have known I was doomed.
She sent me to every doctor and quack, remember this
was 40 years ago, to no avail.
Can you say comb-over in high school ... In the Marines
everyone was bald so I didn't stand out...
All the women like men with long flowing hair, the bald is
beautiful and Michael Jorden hadn't hit yet.
 Then came Apollo Hair Systems..
I had hair, and as much as I wanted, for the 1st time in
my life, but it came at a $$$$ price.
I met my Bride and she never knew until I told her.
She said she would love me hair or no hair...
I never knew what women went through to make their hair
look good. The " Products " they use and what they need to
give the hair a shine. After 6 years I said enough of this and
had it cut off.  I think my self confidence had reached the point
of, " I really don't care what people think."
Looking back and even now, you are really judged on how
how you physically look...
If Paris Hilton was a short troll, even with money she wouldn't
get noticed. If your a women and don't have "The Look" your
not as popular and don't get hired first.
If your a man and don't have the "Build & the Look" the beautiful
people will pass you by without a glance.
Have we become so vain that all we care about is what we look
like on the outside and be dammed about who we really are??
From an average Joe I really hope not ....

    Hi Steve! *waves*

I will honestly say I am quite vain. It nearly drives me nuts not to post pics of myself all over my sc blog. I was an ugly little skinny duckling in my childhood days. Very thin,,very pale, very redheaded and very freckled. Oh and add glasses to the mix. haha

I grew up to be a milf. LMAO.

My secret fetish is going bald..but that doesn't bother me one bit, I still want to fuck his brains out whenever possible. heh heh. He can loose all his hair and I wouldn't care, but if his dick ever falls off, um...I'd cry. and cry. and cry.

steve:  who could guess we'd be in the year 2007.....where science has come so far so fast.......but still nobody has the cure for baldness.

    seems crazy to me.

hair is a big deal to men.  i remember a guy i knew in high school started going bald at 20.  i saw him at graduation and then not again for a few years, and he was mostly bald.  what a shame to suffer in that way when you're so young.

of course you're right and it's just 'hair' and outward appearances are just outward appearances, but hair is all wrapped up in our self esteem.

i think you're a handsome fellow who takes fabulous fabulous pictures!

    Steve,

Hair is only something to help keep you warm in the winter, if you ask me! The people who only look at the outward appearance aren't worth knowing or worrying about anyway...Looks like you found yourself a woman worthwhile and wonderful just for you! As long as your happy ~~ BLAH! to the rest of the world! That's what I think anyway! Hehehe...
Secret: You described my husband when you mentioned your "childhood days"...Minus the glasses....Redheads rock sister! I'm sure you're gorgeous then and now!

Perdy, thanks for the nice words. I thought it was horrible growing up redheaded, but I love my red hair now. When I was pregnant with my children I hoped I wouldn't have any redheaded boys for fear they'd be teased to no end. Guess what? I had to sons and one dauughter. My daughter is the only redhead..lol

the reason i liked soulcast in the first place was that it was text only at the time: no pics, no sly camera angles concealing/enhancing features. just text.

you're right, we do put a lot too much importance on first impressions. and it's a damned shame.

btw: somehow, i never realized you were a marine. thank you for your service, steve.

You look good. Thanks. I think it is only many to have a little hair on the top. My husband has been like that from the age 27 but has not lost any more hair. It stays the same.

I think you look normal to me.  I kind of like bald guys.  LOL.

Hi there!! Thanks for subscribing, I came over to look and saw a pic of yours. You look good! Well, as compared to women, I think thinning hair looks better and acceptable on men. Unless of course for men who makes a living out of their looks. Although we girls could wear wigs to conceal it.
  • truluv_whocares said on Jul 15, 2007....
I agree with lioness...balding is so much worse for women...I think bald men are still very attractive...my very first crush ever was on my balding science teacher in highschool. Personality is always the most important thing!
