how do you manage your private messages? do you tend to keep them all, delete them all, trim away a few only?

I do this (souldcast) differently than my email. I tend to let whatever people writei n response stay right where it is so that I have some record of how people feel about my writing. If someone is consistantly obnoxious, I will block their user.

I was keeping them all at first. But then my inbox was 10 pages long. I had to delete! Especially since some of the messages were very simple like, "hey, what're you up to?" I didn't really need to hang onto that. So I deleted everything except a few really nice and important messages that I might want to read over again.

the number of PM's i've got so far are so few and far in-between, i look at them as rare shells thrown by the soulcast sea to this beach-comber's feet. each one of them, and i mean literally every single one of them, has brought a big smile to my face. thus, i see no need to delete any.

Most of them have been important. Once I reply I delete them because I don't like to keep too much clutter. I was surprised to look at my messages and found a dozen or so, many from weeks ago. Some were really heart-warming and special. But I still like to clean up. -
