The President does not create jobs. The people create jobs. People do not lose jobs as a whole/nation wide because of the President. They lose jobs because the "EMPLOYER" decided to let that ass go for one reason or another. There may be a new process, a new way of doing things, technology that allows a business to operate more efficiently with fewer people, or less of a demand for a particular job. It could be that a batch of employees suck and need to go. This bullshit of blaming President for the rise and fall of employment is just that…BULLSHIT! The man has enough to handle without the shortcomings and bad luck of others being blamed on him.

    The taxes that the president approves of allow either encourage or discourage people to start new bussinesses.

    Tarriffs that that the President puts on foreign goods, or subsidizing corn also effect the job market.

    Allowing our bussinesses to ship jobs to foreign markets (again without massive tarriffs, effects the amount of jobs that are here in the US.

    Now the fact of the matter is that the President while he will ultimate gain the credit (or blame) for these kinds of actions he really has very little to do with them, he has cabinet members and congress, etc, etc but honestly that is part of what a president exists for, to be a figurehead.

    Ya might have trouble convincing fella's like Liddy, Rove, Gonzalez, Rice, Rumsfield,
    of and judge Dork, to mentioned a few that are not on the unemployment lines ...yet,
    or the what..oh yea...Home Land Security created...what? what? what ?

    But for our society...yea, I agree, you can not blame Bush for creating jobs for society,
    unless its more Government in one form or another.

    You could blame Clinton for shrinking military spending if you wanted.
  • CamDaMan20 said on Jul 09, 2007....
    Good thing he did actually, since its now going to take about two generations to cover the debt these Repukes have so kindly extended to the People, yet padded their pockets and co-horts alike.  {  Haliberton ; sp ? to mention just one of many}

    I know not what is best, but we need a military of course, however now America lives under the magnifying glass of big brother.  Somehow, I loath Big Brother Investments.

    Wasn't really arguing that one way or another.  I was stating the fact that the President via the decisions he makes has some control over the amount of jobs in the United States and that saying the President has nothing to do with the amount of jobs is just as much bullshit as blaming him does.
  • CamDaMan20 said on Jul 09, 2007....
    I blame him and rightfully so, for many things he and his has done as recent as that move to reduce Libby's sentence yet protect himself and his co-horts by creating a defense (5th Amend.) that now attaches to Libby....an act in the exclusive control of Bush and Bush alone.  Of course he is to blame, his veto on stem cell research, again, his and exclusively his act.  Both of the above examples are attributed to his acts alone, his control, his decisions ultimately. Yea, I blame him, and his.

    We know that reducing Libby's sentence had little if anything to do with the amount of jobs in the US.  I mean (at least in CA) the prisons are already over populated so what effect does that have?

    We don't know for sure what Stem Cell reseach will or won't accomplish.  It might be a dead end that Bush saved us from going down (I don't personally believe that btw) we don't know how many jobs he may have stymied but he could just as easily have prevented us from walking down a blind alley and thus saved/created hundreds of jobs by putting us on the proper path.

    We are talking jobs here, and I think you're begining to wander from the subject a bit.
  • CamDaMan20 said on Jul 09, 2007....
    Those are each jobs that Bush created for the parties so named or they wouldn't be working at those jobs.  It appears he may have had a direct hand in firing US Attorneys (loss of jobs).  Trying to stay on post, but not limiting it to mass jobs alone.

    Stem Cell Research may well create thousands of jobs, or do away with others.

    Oh I do not necessarily disagree with ya Sean.  Every President has his downfalls, this one just seems to be creating and collecting them as none before him in numbers or importance..

    In the spirit of the original post I don't think we were discussing individual jobs.  Though that is a solid point that I hadn't really thought off.  I agree with you on Stem Cell, we simply don't know.
  • CamDaMan20 said on Jul 09, 2007....
    Well Sean, when ya think of what a single personal appointment might mean.  Great influence on any given sector of society can be so flexed { consider the middle class }
    as a small business owner, I can attest to the last two administrations being askew to our plights and actual needs verses what they conceive we need, ya know ?

    Yea, a single appointment can wield tremendous power {recently ; Judge Dork Sup. Ct.} and that single appointment can, be rested assured, have a grave impact dependent upon his opinions.  Thousands of jobs, plus or minus, can be affected.  Thus, indirectly yet as a direct result of this Presidents actions, Tens of thousands of Jobs are in fact an issue to be considered.

    As to Stem Cell Research, hell, I am willing to find out one way or the other.  But if one day they can grow me a new heart or liver, from me for me, why the hell not I say ?  Even if it could cure Cerebral Palsy and nothing else, would if not be worth it?  I'd like to know in any event.  Just think, maybe it would even be possible to replace your entire outter skin with new...how many injuries and burn vic's would that renew to the living in spirit as well ?

    Good kickn it with ya man.
