I was inspired by skald's post today about how she spent her day. It's always interesting to hear how others spend their days.
This is a post about nothing much because I didn't do a whole lot today.
I paid the plumber a whole bunch of money to unblock my garbage disposal. He in turn told me how eventually I would need to replace the pipes under the sink. I just love good news like that.
I did battle with my wireless router again. I can't figure out why the laptop has no internet access when I use it in my bedroom, but when I use it at the dining room table (about 10 feet away from the router itself), it logs onto the internet with no problem. I thought I had fixed the problem, but it was a no-go. I said a couple of rude words and gave up.
I listened to my son tell me about the train wreck that is his love life. He has a new girlfriend (already! good grief!) and old girlfriend is giving him all sorts of hell about him cheating, and now his room mate is all involved. I gave up trying to untangle it. He'll have to unravel this one all by himself.
Oh, and I think I embarrassed him. His own fault. If you don't want to know the answer to the question, don't ask the question. He found me in my sewing room working on a project, and he noticed my knitting book of "naughty designs", which was open to the pattern for what I was working on. he asked what I was doing. Trust me when I say that if I had been totally honest, he would have been traumatized, I'm sure. I told him I was "broadening my horizons."
Then I fell asleep at 7 p.m. for about four hours. Which is why it's 20 past 4 a.m. and I'm still wide awake.
Right now, I have the urge to bake cookies. I think I'll go to bed instead.
