I was inspired by skald's post today about how she spent her day.  It's always interesting to hear how others spend their days.

This is a post about nothing much because I didn't do a whole lot today.

I paid the plumber a whole bunch of money to unblock my garbage disposal.  He in turn told me how eventually I would need to replace the pipes under the sink.  I just love good news like that.

I did battle with my wireless router again.  I can't figure out why the laptop has no internet access when I use it in my bedroom, but when I use it at the dining room table (about 10 feet away from the router itself), it logs onto the internet with no problem.  I thought I had fixed the problem, but it was a no-go.  I said a couple of rude words and gave up.

I listened to my son tell me about the train wreck that is his love life.  He has a new girlfriend (already! good grief!) and old girlfriend is giving him all sorts of hell about him cheating, and now his room mate is all involved.  I gave up trying to untangle it.  He'll have to unravel this one all by himself.

Oh, and I think I embarrassed him.  His own fault.  If you don't want to know the answer to the question, don't ask the question.  He found me in my sewing room working on a project, and he noticed my knitting book of "naughty designs", which was open to the pattern for what I was working on.  he asked what I was doing.  Trust me when I say that if I had been totally honest, he would have been traumatized, I'm sure.  I told him I was "broadening my horizons."

Then I fell asleep at 7 p.m. for about four hours.  Which is why it's 20 past 4 a.m. and I'm still wide awake.

Right now, I have the urge to bake cookies.  I think I'll go to bed instead.

Mimikins - LOL re the naughty designs!!  I also have to be careful falling asleep to early as I end up being awake into the wee hours then.  Ooooo, I was hoping you were going to bake the cookies and send me one (?), but I suppose you need your sleep ¦-) Sleep tight Sweet Mimi!

Mimi, sounds like your router might not have a good enough range. Either that, or something in your house is blocking the signal. Do you happen to know the range on it?

And they have books for 'naughty knitting'? I have a weird visual in my mind of you knitting a blanket with very interesting things on it....you'll have to show us when you're done!

Mimi, it's good to know that others have days that are every bit as dull as mine. By the way, that bit of knitting that you're doing - I like ed's answer. :D

polarcups, that's the thing about getting the urge to bake.  It usually goes away. :D   So you want cookies?  What kind?

I already shocked him enough for one day, Ed.  He has trouble dealing with the fact that good ol' mom got a tattoo, especially where it is.  If I told him Santa was going to bring him what I was making, he'd probably need therapy. ;)

e_t, yes, some one else told me it was the range of the router too.  Unfortunately, this someone neglected to tell me what to do about it.

LJ, dull?  This is about as exciting as it gets around here most days. ;)

Mimi, unfortunately if the range isn't good enough, the only thing to do is buy a better router. The one I just bought has a range of 700 feet. That should be adequate for any house setting, unless you live in a palace. It wasn't very expensive either. Around $50-$60.

Plumbers sure do like to tell you there's more work to be done don't they? I am just glad that I don't have to do that work!

I can't imagine what naughty design you would be knitting????

Oh, e_t, that doesn't sound too promising.  This is testing the outer limits of my computer knowledge.  :-\

I know, Grape, I shoulda made the cookies.  It's been a while.

Oh boyz, my lips are sealed for the time being.  ;)

I hope you did not bake the cookies at that time a night. You really had a full day. I hate to have internet problems. I always had some before I went and bought this router.
Well I think it is wise of  you letting your son  solve his own girl problems. This was a good read and thanks for linking to me. Luv Jó
