  Ed, you seem surprised - Dr James Dobson is American isn't he?  I have always loved the Focus on the Family programs on the radio in South Africa and I have one of his books called Bringing Up Boys.  Tell me why this is interesting to you, you've got me curious now!

  i'm not a fan of dr. dobson or focus on the family due to their intensely anti-gay agenda--it's rather hard to avoid that part of their politics in the US. having said that, i understand that his other works are considered quite good and i'm sure that they are.
