SURE! One thing about the Russia of today is that its leadership is insecure. Russia current trends in world stage always suggest its tendency to go against the grain against the west. The cause of this is that the Kremlin wants desperately for Russia to be a supper power again. That is why Russia always supplies weapons to the enemies of the west namely the radical Arabs and the crazy Venezuela.
The annoying but successful attempt by Russia to stop US from placing the missiles in Europe is devious. How comes of all those countries in Europe only Russia feels threatened by the missiles. Russia should stop meddling in the affairs of Czech or Poland whichever hosts the missile defense. Let’s just avoid the disgusting political correctness and the Kremlin vain rhetoric of cold war. The fact is, Russia is tending to communism and is desperate to be a super power once more.
How come Germany a G8 elite country has no complaints and Czech and Poland are its neighbors. The fact is a missile defense is needed badly especially given the arms race in the Middle East which has very unpredictable volatile leadership. An act by Russia to try and oppose the Missile defense is reminiscent of the kicks of a dying horse. After all Russia has enough problems within its territory like the Chechen conflicts that poses more security risks to Russia on a daily basis than a missile defense shield. I love Russia it has probably the world’s most beautiful women. How I wish life was rosy in all Russia as it seems in St Petersburg. There is no way the US is trying to threaten Russia. So I guess some swallowing of pride is necessary for both parties. If at all a solution has to be found in this whole international media circus, it would be. Why can’t Russia build the said missile defense within its territory? That way, even a stray missile from USA will be destroyed in addition to others from the crazy Middle East territory.
