SoulCast says nobody saw my last two posts, so I deleted them (again!). I'm really pushing the boring post meter, as you can tell. Maybe I ought to quit while I'm ahead, or figure out something interesting to write about. By the way, the posts were about tampons, relationships, Dr. Phil and hillbilly accents, in that order. Apparently, those topics are boring. Jeez, I wonder what's interesting...

Hey, what happened to your last two posts???
• Blatherskite said on Jul 21, 2006....
I deleted them (re-read the first sentence of this post).
• Zayda said on Jul 21, 2006....
How long did you have them up before you deleted them. Sometimes it takes awhile for anyone to read posts, so I wouldn't get discouraged too quickly if Soulcast says your posts have no views.
• Blatherskite said on Jul 21, 2006....
They were up for two days or so.
• Zayda said on Jul 21, 2006....
I've had some posts up for two days that didn't get read until other posts got read first. Honestly, even if you get no views in two days, I would leave the posts up because typically once you do post something that gets views readers may move to your other posts to read them.

I have posted some that were so boring I deleted them before anyone read them. Do you have a hobby or an interesting girlfriend yet? Did your parents beat you as a child? Did your parents beat each other? Something. There must be something. Tell us about your dog. Anything. Just not another boring post. Try to work the word SEX or some other nasty word into the title. That is about all anyone looks at. ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz..............

What you may consider boring might be interesting to someone else. You'll never know, one man's garbage is another man's treasure. Just write anything that interests you, let the flow of ideas go. It's easier to write if the subject interests you that much. And don't be affected even if no one cares to read it. You'll never know if someone desperate might be inspired by it, you could probably even save a life. If at first you don't succeed, write and write again. :)

ALIENated is right. If you give even the faintest hint of something naughty in your title, someone will read it. Of course, I suppose the tags are useful, too. Do think if I tag everything I write with "sex" that everyone will read it? You know what? Forget that. If y'all want to read what I say, fine. If not, that's fine, too. Such is life.
• Zayda said on Jul 21, 2006....
I read lots of stuff that doesn't have "sex" as a tag. :) But then, I'm a night-owl who doesn't sleep much and I tend to read most anything just to see if it might be remotely entertaining. Hence, why I read this post in the first place.

gee, have I ever actually used the word SEX in a headline yet? Hmmm. Maybe THAT's how I can get some attention. I write because it's a compulsion. Before the computer it was an electric typewriter. Before that, a mnual typewriter. Before that, long hand on a legal pad. Before that, crayons on white. When in doubt, simply recall an opinion that you've recently voiced to a friend or relative. Get a real attitude about it and pretend like you're the final authority, then start spouting on paper. Have you thought about expressing yourself with a flute?

i read a lot of stuff, and despite what my own blog looks like, i too read things that aren't tagged sex. :> ed

Hey, I want to hear about tampons, relationships, Dr. Phil and hillbilly accents (though not necessarily in that order)... Gimme!

blather... My friend see you had it in you after all....look at this thing it took off like a rocket. Personally I think you are a genius. You've stumbled on a site peppered with some of the most innovative thinkers and incredibly gifted writers on the planet. You then engaged them with a Rodney Dangerfield impression. That is a winning combination and will always score big hits. I think you are doing a great job.
• ALIENated said on Jul 21, 2006....
As usual I did not say exactly what I meant. My intention was SEX or some nasty word in the title would most likely muster you some attention. There are tons of good posts here that are not devoted to sex. However, my guess is they are not being read as much. We all like to look through the peephole. By the way, hbc, do you think DanBurger is SithBorg? If not, what happened to SithBorg? I like saying SithBorg. It is kind of like saying Beany Baby. For a while that is all I heard everywhere I went ... Beany Baby, Beany Baby. (See how easy it is to blither Blather?) Write on.
• Blatherskite said on Jul 21, 2006....
A plethora of suggestions to use...thanks everybody! I'll have to considering using them, except for the ALIENated's suggestion to write about my dog and sex. I mean, I like my dog and everything, but I'm not going that far. Hmmm...I'll use TheNakedProfessor's suggestion, and write about an opinion I've voiced in a recent conversation. Imaginary conversations count, right?
