Scripture:
Mat 6:14-15

For if you forgive men when they sin against
you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your
Father will not forgive your sins.

will your Father forgive your trespasses."
Reflection:
Isn't it hard to forgive, I mean really forgive a person
who has wronged you so much that it is in your heart
and mind constantly. I have a person like that in my
life. This person knowingly let me physically suffer
for many years without ever helping me. This person
was not there for me as a matter of fact purposely stayed
away from me. I literally hated this person for a long time.
I desperately needed this person and this person wasn't
there for me. I used to say I can forgive but I can't forget.
That was a lie that I was saying to myself. Because I
really wasn't forgiving. It was an excuse I used to make to
myself in order to feel like a Christian. You see I new
Christ expected me to forgive, it was basic to my
Christian faith and I needed an excuse to continue to hate
and still feel like a Christian. Well I can honestly say
that I have learned to forgive this person. I really do.
How did I learn this valuable lesson? I followed the
example of my Savior Jesus Christ, when in complete
pain on the executioner's cross states, "Father Forgive Them
For They Know Not What They Do." If He can do it for
me, I can do it for Him and myself. Boy do I feel a lot
better! I now have this person back in my life, and this
person never asked for any forgiveness but I gave it anyway.
What joy there is in my life. Amen, Amen.......
Prayer:
Thank you Lord for forgiving me of all my sins, thank you
for loving me so much that you forgive me each and every day
If you can forgive lord, I can forgive. Thank you for your
love. THANK YOU GOD FOR BEING GOD!!!!!

Forgiveness is a hard thing sometimes..but the Lord will reward you in so many ways if you do forgive someone who has "wronged" you...You know sometimes we look for happiness in so many different things..but , the only way to true happiness is through Jesus Christ. -

I believe you are happy cathie, I have a wonderfull life. I great wife, a child on the way and money to spend. I would liken your happyness with that of a heroin addict after their fix has taken effect and induced its feelings of satisfaction. Religion is a drug to some but one of its side effects is that you are blinded by the truth that god does not exist. -

I think you did the right thing. I am myself trying to do this everyday : forgive the ones that had mistaken to me, and, finally (and that`s the most difficult) : forgive myself! Yes, I succeed in doing this, but not every time from the beginning.
I think Lord sees your trials, your efforts...and mine, too. And I`m happy, too, that He exists.

Your right, Life does infact show you the truth. Have you ever head of natural selection. Science is about continuously questioning and testing and proving theories to be true or false. Religion is about just believing becase someone wrote it, Thats a delusion. Like many religious people I can tell you are frustrated because you have no other argument other than "It just True and thats final". Its a shame because your closed mind will not allow you to see the truth and your religion also restricts the possibilty that your belief is wrong. -

I think it makes more sense to believe in God then not to believe we came from molecules as such....if fact, I believe in my whole heart and soul in Jesus....and everyone has a right to his or her own beliefs...just because you are an "atheist" and we are "Christians"..should not make you so angry..you just seem like such a bitter person..umm..stupidgenius...I've never been to a place where someone would come and make such a mockery of someone else's beliefs..I think it shows a lot of disrespect to this whole site..soulcast.. -

Typical view from a person of faith. You dont like your beliefs questioned, how sad. You asume that im angry and you take my critisism of you as disrespect, well a little life lesson for you. Life is about questioning everything that is what we are here to do.
How on earth can you say "I think it makes more sense to believe in God then not to believe" Is that realy the basis of your faith?
Question your faith and its origins, dont just believe it because others do and dont just assume that the bible is correct because it isnt.
My personal opinion is that religion as a whole is a mokery, delusion...etc
If you dont like people to reply with opinions that differ to yours then dont blog on a site that alows users freedom of speech and an opinion.
