Twelve years ago,I decided to acquire a life insurance policy, Just because I had a feeling It was one of the areas I had to secure.Unfortunately, I decided to let it go on my 2nd year into marriage,Because I thought I should change my priorities. But then, there is this tiny voice within telling me that I am doing something that I might regret one day and true enough,a few years later, that feeling was confirmed. Today, I still wonder if my earnings would really be enough to let me live a life of leisure when I retire or just cover up for medical expenses(based on my experience, this comes at the time you are least prepared!). The retirement benefit I expect to have when retirement age comes, would that be enough? How long will it last given today's economic state? What options are left for me? One thing is sure, I don't want to be my kid's financial burden when that time comes! After learning my lesson the hard way, I started to look around for any options left for me.A medical insurance, life insurance or pension plan with a reputable company of good standing is a smart financial alternative. And I had found that would have cost me less had I not given up the policy I started before.Fortunately, insurance groups recognizes women's special needs and now offer packages designed to meet these needs. These plans happen to be more flexible, allowing you to earn from accumulated dividends, which you can collect ater a certain number of years to use as a retirement fund. Isn't it ironic, if we work so hard for financial independence only to be a financial burden later on?As the popular US tv show host said,"Every woman need to have a nest egg stashed away somewhere." Only now did I fully got her point.I hope you too!
