Hello....

Isn’t it funny how the browser version number seems to be forgotten almost immediately after the download?

Which browser(s) have you used?

So many to choose from, depending on what you want to do – there’s Firefox, Internet Explorer, America Online, Opera, Netscape, Apple…..

Yes, there is an Apple browser for Windows already out – IMHO, cheekily heating up the polity of the highly competitive computer industry: Apple announces Windows browser

I'm a Firefox whore. I've grown to dislike IE a lot, considering its lack of security, messy layouts, and so forth. I work in a computer lab, so we oftentimes recommend Firefox over IE, especially over IE 7.

Don't even get me started on AOL's browser.

bronx- I just found out what a browser was about two months ago, which should give you some insight to my computer knowledge. My wife's the geek.

I do know we were on IE6 and she tried IE7, which only gave us problems. She switched to Firefox a couple weeks ago and the difference is amazing. I think we found a home.

i detest IT and would cheerfully dub it the worst i've ever used. i've used firefox, and i'm not particularly impressed with it: it chews up way too many system resources when it's running for my tastes. i prefer opera, even though SC isn't compatible with it so i've learned a few HTML commands to help format my blog entries/comments.

beyond: yes, from my own experience, Firefox is comparatively superior to IE7, period! ;  >

SW: hi.....did you mean IT or IE?

You may be right there - Firefox uses up my laptop battery power a bit too fast but it's less clumsy than IE.

I am not used to Opera but I'll probably get round to trying it out one of these days...

Ed is right about Firefox eaing up a lot of the system resources. It's a pretty bulky application, especially for something like a Web browser. Yet it still kicks IE7's ass. Don't get me started on Netscape, either. I toyed around with that, and the layout is just too clunky. It's ugly, too, as it reminds me a lot of AOL's browser.

The only exposure to Opera I've had is when I use the Nintendo Wii. They use the Opera browser for their wireless internet feature. I really don't have much of an opinion of Opera.

harried: yes, Firefox is pretty solid/stable.
