a recent blog entry by polar got me thinking about something.
every day, every hour, a newcomer joins soulcast and if he or she is like most of us when we first got here, has no idea what they're getting into, and they're bound to have questions.
i propose that everybody who writes a blog entry that's aimed at helping newcomers to SC find their way begin to use the tag "4newcomers". in this way, a newbie can search that tag and ideally find the information that he or she really needs: how adsense is shaking out for us, how to post flickr pics, how to get more posts/day, whatever.
what do you say, guys?

I think Soulcast should find a way to offer this info feature available for everybody who signs here for the first time.
It should be just right there (a big box or something) as soon as the newbies sign in....like "Take a tour of SC" kind of thing.....i am quite surprised they didn't think to do it already...
In this way all the headaches are spared...

OW!!!! stop the bouncing. I say we don't help anyone, let them flounder like I did, it will make them tougher.
I do think that is a good idea, can I write up a beware list? Beware of certain people and what to look out for? I would be good at that. And how about a good person list and a bad person list and then tell why. :)

Well I for one think it's a good idea, I'm a newbie here but not a newbie at the idea of a forum. This is so much like a forum. Anyhow Yea I can use some tips on how to load pics, videos etc.. I can also use this info for my other blogs, I'm still trying to figure out HTML or a translator so I can load different stuff to my web sites.

infernal: that's a very difficult thing to write. two of my theologically-related posts exemplify how i choose to try to do that, but how to be diplomatic while still being honest is something that is i think so intensely subjective as to make such a blog entry extraordinarily tough to write. which of course is why i'm already trying to figure out how exactly one might do that...curse you, infernal! :p
