Since the beginning of Hurricane season, I began to think of all the things in my home that I would need to do should we experience any catastrophic event. I also thought NO matter where I lived, how big the home, the questions remain, am I prepared? What will I need? How long will it last? Are you prepared, and how?

Just chill out man! You must be an American...sorry to say it's that obvious! There is nothing to fear...otherwise you will live the rest of your days in fear! Of course something could happen...but are you going to stay in alert for the rest of your life? Will you stop living? I find the culture of fear a little ridiculous in the states! (i'm french don't mind my typos) Do you know anybody in your surroundings that has a shelter or etc?? I hope not.

Yes Im American. Fear isnt the factor here MJ. Thinking sensibly about being prepared and staying out of a shelter is the objective. Being alert to the good, bad and the ugly is important. Its evident, you havent been on the streets of America lately if you think humans here live in fear. I'd say fearless is far more the scenario in the states.
