  Thank you for posting these thoughts.  I agree.  Stopped trying to be something I was not years ago.  Now just trying to be the best I can be. 
   
  We all wear so many hats.  Being your individual, authentic self can be exhilarating, but also tiring.  Let's all be sure to take time to relax as well.

  HEARTWALKER, this post blog is just so beautiful and it is what, alot of time in my life, i am guilty of trying to live up to, other people expectations and i have gotten lost in the actions a lot, i will keep those words of wisdom in my heart and revisited this blog for encouragement, again thank you.

  You know that is so true.

  I know lots of people that want to change from fat to skinny. Skinny to big,

  curly hair to straight and the reverse. What is it about people that always want to be something or somebody they are not? Good Blog and thought provoking.

  for children, it's natural to live authentically,..in the process of growing up as adults, we lose the innocence of childhood. My point in putting up these here ,is to re-mind ourselves of our inherent goodness and in ourselves.

            It is about making others to accept their idea of themselves, but ppl are made to believe through the forces that bombard them ( read as advertisement in all its forms), so they end up believing others than themselves, so peace within is lost...
  My idea of blogging here is to enable others and to re affirm on myself these values in human life, that will lead to peace within and gets reflected in our daily lives through our choices and actions and the resultant con~sequences.

  Ah..if only it were that simple.

  It's not just advertisement that gets people upset at themselves but the current perception of "beauty"

  Look  at Renaissance paintings..like Reuben..all the females are rather chubby according to today's standards  but erotic back then. Why the change?

  It's much more than advertisement. During the reign of  Victoria all the women were to be well endowed, must have a bustle (fat ass?) and an extremely small waist.. The torturous corset was a horrible encumbrance to women up until the early 40's for crying out loud. ( poor ladies, I can't imagine how they survived).

  Advertisements were there..in a means..but that was more catalogs.

  Anyhow. People see themselves through others eyes when they should be looking in the mirror eating a hamburger if it makes 'em happy.

  anyways....how crazy is that, I was totally fascinated by the stuff I stumbled across about 'joy' (that was from the raggermuffin bit!!!)
  and then I come across another blog of yours titled you are somebody....which really made the 'joy' thing sink in...

    I agree wholly with you, perception has been changing over the ages...and It is a struggle to balance it all...
   
  To be oneself in a world that's trying its level best, day and night, to be something else,...well, that means to keep on fighting your heardest battle, and to never stop fighting.
  It's worth it.
  The secret lies in self acceptance, Once we accept ourselves, then we can wholeheartedly lend ourselves to any other selfless endeavour.
