What color are your toes?

As mentioned in a previous blog I am a pedicure-oholic.  One of my favorite rituals is the pedicure/manicure that my daughter and I get about every 2-4 weeks.  It is something that has absolutely no benefit to anyone other than myself, and I consider this "me" time.  I also love that fact that no matter what "shape" I'm in, my feet are always cute and small.
 
So, in the spirit of keeping mother/daughter rituals alive my daughter, whom I call sweetie, and I went and had our toes done up after shopping for a dress.  I needed it after watching her complain about how "big" size 0 is!!!!
 
Ladies (and men if it applies) what color are your toes?  Mine are Antique Red at the moment and I love how cute they are.

    SW - I think some very smart person should open a sports bar with a "secret" back room where men could get a pedicure or manicure without "shame".  BTW, I did see a man getting a manicure the other day.  It's not unheard of for surgeons to do so to keep their hands in shape.

    My toes are naked right now.  I have a new bottle of bronze peach polish that I'm going to try on them soon.  :-)

    My toes are currently a sort of mother-of-pearl white (called Winter Moon), which is quite a change for me since my usual colour was chocolate brown (called Chestnut).  What amazes me is how long my toe nails keep colour. . .honestly, it must be 2 or 3 weeks now since I put it on and its still perfect!

    Polar - No worries on the subscribed thing, though I'm glad to have you aboard.  I am also amazed that the toes stay pristine while the fingernail polish gets mangled almost right off the bat.

    my toes are painted light beige, i like it because it looks dainty and clean.... sometimes i use satin pink.

    SC1 - I think that would look dainty and clean.  I am usually fond of pinks and soft peach, but am going through a "screaming red" phase.

    Mine are Lady Lilac - LOL - I have nerve painting purple toes on these big feet, but its the one small indulgence for this incurable tomboy and I love it!

    I pedicure every other week also and I tend to stick to the more neuteral colors b/c they match everything and when I'm getting dressed up I have to look great! The hands usually match the feet! So now I'm cotton candy pink!
    P.s. The netural colors are also more professional in a buissness and medical enviornment!

    Unique....i switched color just yesterday....so now my toenails are painted in deep wine red......love it.....

    i am a homemade pedicurist....lol.....if i have to spend money on my feet it would be only for long, deep foot massages.....ahhh, already drooling....

    i do my daughter's too....we have fun choosing shades and making a mess in the bathroom.....and she is a fanatic already.....:-)

    Im new to the blog....and hope its ok to join in!    OPI makes a beautiful spring/summer color called Cajun Shrimp.  Its kind of an Orange/Coral that is great for this time of year.   I love it!    Pedicures are my favorite treat!!!!

    Wow, this really took off after I logged off yesterday.  I'm reading about several shades that I will have to investigate. 
     
    I do need to mention that I have my toes done in a salon now because I am not currently limber enough to reach my left toes since knee surgery.  Of course now that I am having it done for me I will probably resist going back to the home pedicures.
     
    I think the most unusual color my toes have been is black.  I had my ankle in a cast and would match my toe color to my clothes, so.....black skirt equalled black toes.  It actually looked very cool.

    I do believe someone mentioned sucking toes, which some consider a very erotic move.  I once had a man paint my toenails, which I found very sexy as well.

    Susmaryosep - I'm game, but my BF is kind of a germaphobe.  I'd have to have them medically sterilized for him to consider doing that for me.  I would have less of a problem doing it for him.

    My toes are painted a nice chocolate frosted color.  My sister painted them after I complimented hers, she thought the color would look good on mine too.  Guess what?  She was right!  I liked it enough that I kept it on and now when people ask why I'm wearing my toenails polished, I just tell them that I have a really cool sister who likes to have fun.
    BTW, I'm a heterosexual male in his mid 40's, married with three kids.  No previous interest in corss-dressing or stuff like that, it just seemed like a fun, impulsive thing to do at the time.
    You gals take this for granted, but I just experienced it for the first time - pretty cool!

    1kitn - I've been trying to get my BF to go get a spa pedicure for about 3 months now.  He hates to take care of his toenails, so I can't see how it's a bad thing.  I think you're very open minded to experiment with nail polish.

    Thank you for the compliment.  I haven't quite decided if having my toes polished is a good thing, but I did like the way she shaped and cleaned my nails before she painted them.
    I realize it's not natural for men to feel they can indulge in things that our culture tends to reserve for women.  But I can tell you that having your feet massaged and cared for is a real treat (I'm sure you already know this if you've had a peduicure before!).
    Maybe you can arrange for both of you to have pedicures together.  That may make it easier (and fun) for him.  Or, do you by chance know anyone who's SO has had a pedicure before?  Even though most men may not like the idea, once they've had one, they usually come back.
     
    BTW, this email account is my wife's.  She told me about the toe color discussion thinking I might be interested...  '1kitn' is a little too feminie for me....

    nailz - Unfortunately my BF is more concerned about keeping up his "tough former Marine" image than trying something that he might actually like.
     
    Susmaryosep - Okay!  Mine are hazel, but are largely green with very dark rims.

    I just found this blog, it looks really fun. I am a guy, and I have been doing pedicures as a hobby for almost 20 years, it really is fun. I always think that a version of red is almost always the best color for most ladies feet, but it is also fun to change around and try new colors Thanks! John

    Johnd - welcome!  I tend to go red or sometimes dark pinks.  You're a very unusual man to admit to doing pedis.

    Thank you so much Uniquely!  I really do appreciate the welcome.   Unusual I know, but I have loved doing pedis for as long as I can remember.  There is a good amount of skill involved in doing a really outstanding pedicure and I am proud to able to do them well.
