My kids are both getting ready to embark on a new phase of each of their lives and both are so excited! My littlest one just "graduated" preschool and can't wait for Kindergarten. My older child just "graduated" elementary school and is excited, and a bit nervous, about middle school. Having only 2 children, these are really big changes around here! It is a little tough on the mommy as well. Seeing your children grow and change is so cool. I have always been one to encourage them to take on new challenges, etc... However, there is something freaky when your "babies" are less and less babies every day.

tell me about it. My daughter is all grown up with children of her own. I think the freakiest thing for me was when she had her first child. There I was sitting in a waiting room instead of in the delivery room. Her boyfriend was with her and rightly so. But I still felt the incredible to urge to charge in there and make sure she was ok. Everything turned out fine but I'll never forget that feeling of helplessness.Congrads to your children, I am sure they will do well. -

Wow, Darkpearl. I never thought about how wierd it must have been for my mom when I was the one in the delivery room and she wasn't. What a perspective! Well, I guess I will be there someday, God willing.Cheers,Taz -

It's tough being a daddy sometimes too..... plenty of love, patience and consistency will make things alright. There is no set school books for rearing kids except love, common sense and rules that are positive and constructive oriented.
I'm sure you'll do alright....

Well...I try at least and with little kids I have a certain amount of success....it's the big kids that I have a problem bonding with.
