Went shopping. Took dog to Petsmart..got some cat food and Kitty litter..good for usppeer...oh wait..I got ahead of myself...
got all the stuff from Petsmart went over to Wal-Mart to get some stuff for potoato salad.
Onions (green) radishes..eggs, JUMBO..of corse. celery, some green olives and cumkuker..no..wait..cukumber...no..um..one of those long green things..no that was my penis erectus..oh ..well you know the burpless kind *both for that matter). Now keeping with the merits of this story.
Just as I am in speedy check out..I heard this commotion to my left. I looked over and all I could see was someones butt sticking up next to the exit door and a wooden podium.
Without thinking much I ran over and it was an old lady perhaps 80 or so..she was wedged down behind the wooden podium and the window and the door rail. There were already two females there trying to get her up. I pushed one aside and grabbed the old lady by the waiste and lifted her up to a semi sitting position.
She had just flat fallen. Her knees were scraped all to hell and her forehead had a knot forming already.
I identified myself as a former trained triage medic and another lady at my side identified her self as an emergency technition for an ambulance company.
We got the lady up into a chair and examined her for other injuries. She had blood on her slacks where she had injured the knees. We doused the cuts with peroxide but since she was wearing panty hose we could not clean the areas thoroughly.
Short of it: Amazingly the cashier brought my check book back to me as I had left it on the counter and another employee brought my basket of paid for goods over to me. I had forgotton all of that.
The med tech and I exchanged thanks..and off we went.
Hell of a day..but man do I feel good. It took me back to days of yore...
Oh Forget you ..detractors..it's real and I am happy..so get screwed...
