I just read an online article that says that ancestry.com has free access to it's databases until June 6 (D-day).

For kicks and giggles I did a few look ups.  I had heard rumors that my grampa was in the Marines during WWI and it turns out that that is right.  Unfortunately he got booted out as undesireable due to that pesky civil conviction for robbery.  It seems they had to send his discharge papers to San Quentin.  Somehow he managed to go AWOL from Quantico and end up in jail in California.  Way to go grampa!  But, he's family and you gotta love them anyways.

I always knew he came from "wild" breeding stock, but this is really funny.  Who is the most notorious person in your family?

mommy - that's so sad, but at the same time you have to know that she was quite a woman to survive an ordeal like that.

    king - have fun looking.

My father.......my real father. He spent 7 years in state pen for embezzlement. He had fake diamond mines in Africa but they never caught him so they waited and waited. Finally he robbed several banks and got turned in on one job by a shady friend looking for a way out of doing extra time. He had millions and traveled to Amsterdam and all of Eastern Europe. Hungarians have that Gypsy blood I suppose :) Yea, my life is very strange.......I should write a book.

tamaree - that is interesting.  It's good to have at least one black sheep in the family.  It takes the pressure off big time.  Yes, your book would be interesting, since truth is often stranger than fiction.

I had an uncle who married several different women in different states without divorcing anyone of them. They did not know about each other. He also had several children by women he was not married to. Unbelievable huh?

What is the cure for a loss of appetite? Recently, I cannot seem to eat much food, nor do I have the desire to eat. I am not sure why exactly, but I have experienced this in the past and have no idea how I got back to eating....
