Senior Cisco Network Engineer
Up to £60k per annum, 25 days holiday p/y
With a strong network background, from either an ISP or Telco background, you will be an enthusiastic individual who relishes a challenge and wants to stamp their mark on a small but rapidly growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide second line support for customer network issues including troubleshooting and change control for customer managed networks.
- Design and implement system configurations to support client specific service requirements.
- Develop and implement suitable core network upgrades and maintenance regimes.
- Work with RIPE in respect to IP allocations
My client is a rapidly growing managed network service provider, offering a range of managed and private MPLS VPN enterprise networks to their corporate clients in the city. Their core network is based on Cisco’s MPLS implementation with POPs in North London, City and Docklands.
Qualifications sought:
- CCIE – Switching & Routing or Service provider
- CCNP – Switching & Routing
- CCNP – Service Provider
Experience Needed:
- Minimum of 5 years background in ISP support/implementation organisation
- Minimum 3 years experience of Cisco 2600, 3500, 3600, 4500, 5300, 6500, 7200, 7500 series equipment
- Minimum 3 years experience working service provider networks including MPLS, VPN’s, OSPF, BGP peering, QoS traffic engineering, LNS including L2TP and PPP multilink, trunking and tunnelling protocols
- Exposure to PIX,VoIP H323 and SIP would be desirable
