Crazy guy? No, just curious, guys and gals....

Some men detest them, some women can't stand them - lasts too long, too painful and stressful, messy and uncomfortable....

Maybe makes you kinda see why the Old Testament guys needed  all those cleansing rituals? Haha...

Seriously though, is it such a big problem that you'd want to just wish it away?

THIS IS FOR BOTH MEN/BOYS AND WOMEN/GIRLS - WOULD YOU WANT MONTHLY PERIODS TO JUST ZAP AWAY, aided by Wyeth's 'Lybrel'?

WHY?

I never had a terrible problem with them, although I think this new b/c pill idea is pretty nifty. I don't have to worry about it any more.

PMS never made me weepy.  It made me mean.  I routinely called for mass executions of all husbands at that time of the month.

    MissMimi: hi.

pretty nifty....I think I like the sound of that!

haha..yeah, the usual common enemies - husbands usually are, aren't they?

But then again..... can't live without us either...heehee.

LOL Bronx, no I guess not... But sometimes, it's tempting to find out for sure. ;)

I wouldn't mind flipping the switch off when the "lights" aren't being used.  It's always seemed like a huge amount of inconvenience to me.

I don't celebrate my period by sitting in a grass hut for five days collecting my menstrual blood to feed my houseplants, but I don't dread it, either.  It's kinda reassuring to know that everything's working as it should.

LOL, Eilan... You mean you don't gather with all your friends and dance naked in the moonlight celebrating Mother Nature?

I never dreaded it, but there were times when it was damned inconvenient.
  • Eilan said on May 23, 2007....
Well, if you were there. . .  :D

not really... its a part of my life as a woman and my semi hubby knows how to do with me during that time of the month...
  • Lioness said on May 23, 2007....
Definitely not. Periods are times when I could be mean and get away with it. LOL It's  a part of my life as a woman, and I could definitely live with it. =)

    U-I: great imagery!

Yep - the wonders of modern medicine are truly manifold.

Eilan: I believe you may just have won a CONSERVATIONIST AWARD with that entry, IMHO!

    Seriously!

That was very deep - no point messing around with Nature when you could lose what you had by following the crowd?

  • Bronx said on Jun 02, 2007....
MissMimi: yes, I can imagine the inconvenience....

SL: you're one of the lucky ones.

I remember wondering what this menstruation thing was all about as a kid when a medical doctor had to be called in every month to administer medication to my teenage sister in bed!
  • Bronx said on Jun 02, 2007....
sweet: wow....that sounded so very romantic - '...knows how to do with me during that time of the month...'  Haha.
  • Bronx said on Jun 02, 2007....
Lioness: haha...I can now see some of the advantages of 'living with it'. ;  >

As I read this blog, with it being a lot of women on here, some older and some younger, I thought what makes a woman....
It goes without saying that we all want to look our best for the big day. So preparation is the key. Take care of your skin, hair and body in the months leading up to the wedding and you will have a good base to start from....

I was on iseecolor.com and I was reading a discussion about black women killing Black America and Black men. They had youtube videos that were down by black men talking about how black women are destroying black men, the black family, and themselves. One...
