Well it has been a little while since I have posted here.  Life has gotten kind of crazy getting ready for school to end for my daughter and dealing with Mother's Day.

Speaking of Mother's Day...

I had a wonderful Day.  My husband and daughter made me breakfast in bed which was terrific.  They also made breakfast for my sister who lives with us and her daughter, who is pregnant right now with her first child.  They loved it too.

After we all ate we sat down to open gifts, my daughter was very impatient.  It was really nice.  The best gift was....get this...finally...after 25 years...

Cagney & Lacey Season 1 on dvd.

WoooHooo!

My sister really had to go through crap to get it, it was just released on May 8th and it was sold out everywhere in town.  After sitting on hold for 52 minutes with a store in the mall, (the guy set the phone down and forgot about them), she finally just went to the store and was able to get their last copy.

I was so excited.  I started watching it right away.  I cried and giggled for hours.

I took a break to go swimming with my daughter and husband which was really fun.  Anyways, it was a wonderful day.

Now I am getting ready for my daughter to finish her 3rd grade.  I am going to be watching her best friend this summer so I am trying to come up with things to do with the girls.  We don't have a lot of money so we can't afford those summer camps that cost $175 per week.

We have our above ground pool and small trampoline which the girls really love but I really want them to be in some other things.

I will send them to Michaels for some craft classes.  The girls really love crafts and did that last year.

I am not sure what else but am looking at some gymnastics programs.  No matter what I know the girls will have a great summer.

Aside from that, life is just moving along, too fast.  I can't believe that it is almost June.  My first great nephew is due July 3rd, but I really think he will be a little early.  I am so excited.  My neice is thrilled and scared at the same time.  I think that is pretty normal.

It is getting really hot here, in the 100's every day.  You'd think that I would be use to this after 37 years but I am not.  Oh well, that is what the pool is for.  And tons of sunscreen, of course.

that's about it for now.

Cagney.....long time....wow......so nice things do happen to nice people then....lol...

Glad you had a terrific Mother's day......and you will have a greatnephew too? that will keep you extra busy too...be a

Dont worry about stuff to do with the girls.....there is always something popping out for kids ...i use to bring my daughter and friends to some Dollar movie (its cheaper), or to museums when they have free pass for kids activities, the city pools are always fun to go for them (not so much for us parents...lol..), park strolls and bbq or picnic are easy to organize.....there are a lot of website of kid organizations that can give you tons of ideas...

    have fun  ....;-)

Btw...Northeast at 100? Its hotter than Texas? Unbelievable..we are in nice mid 80  today.......but its getting hotter....

I live in Arizona.  I was born and raised here but I still have trouble with the heat.  Of course, at least it's a dry heat, as they say.  LOL.

I got heat stroke once in my life during summer when I was younger and playing softball.  I was a catcher and just got way too hot with all the gear on.

I have been dehydrated to the point of passing out and taking a nice trip to the hospital in an ambulance, once.

Now I drink so much water that I don't think dehydration is an issue for me.

Today I think we get a break as it is only supposed to get up to 99 degrees and tomorrow is supposed to be less than that.  OF course by the weekend we are back into triple digits.

It is the price I pay for living somewhere that I don't have to deal with earthquakes, blizzards, tornado's etc.  I keep saying that I want to move but I just can't even think of someplace that would compare.  Besides, this is home.

I demand to know how it got here so fast, lol....
What is the cure for a loss of appetite? Recently, I cannot seem to eat much food, nor do I have the desire to eat. I am not sure why exactly, but I have experienced this in the past and have no idea how I got back to eating....
A few things I'm struggling with....
....its starting to look like that is not in the stars for me....
