I hate Pope Benedict Joseph Ratziner or what ever his name is. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing Pope John Paul did many good and bad things. The worst thing he did is hand pick his successor. Many can say that it was the conclave that chose him and if you believe in Catholic dogma that it was the Holy Spirit. However I think he threatened the cardinals into choosing him when he gave the eulogy when the real pope died.
He is a watchdog of Catholic faith says the press. A theologian versed in many languages for the Church. For me he is evil, an inquisitor an Antichrist. Most of all a , "German Shepard" He sees that the the Catholic Church is falling apart and he doesn't to a thing about it. As a saying in Spanish goes, "He sees the Tempest and doesn't kneel."He doesn't have the charisma, respect or commitment his predecessor had for certain issues. He is also very boring and judgemental. How the hell (excuse the expression) does he want us to listen to him. All he does his is publish boring dictums and point fingers. Not even Harry Potters escapes his wrath.
He says that Mexican legislators are excommunicated for approving abortions in Mexico City before the first trimester. So what does this mean? According to Wikipedia, "Excommunication is a religious censure used to deprive or suspend membership in a religious community. " First he is meddling in a foreign county's international affairs. And not just any country it is a country that had a love affair with his predecessor. He is hindering these legislator's job. He is even causing some of them spiritual anguish. Excuse me but that's not very Christian.
Who is Mr Ratizinger to excommunicate? Didn't he hide many of the pedophilia cases that the Church is now infamous for? He called the Turkish people terrorists. Now what is he going to do have us burned at the stake? Doesn't he understand progress? He worries more about saying that there is no limbo or purgatory. He is writing a biography about Jesus Christ. I thought that he already had one its called the New Testament. Now we are free to think. Spanish philosopher Jose Savater is so right, "A Theocracy is not a Democracy."
