Through 11 weeks, we are down to only one undefeated team: the Los Angeles Bandits. The week 6 matchup between Baltimore and Cleveland went to the Browns and sent the Ravens spiraling down on a three game losing streak. The Browns would be knocked off week 9 by the Dolphins in a close, hard-fought match. The Giants were finally dealt their first loss week 11 by the Titans. The St. Louis Rams are on the inside track to the #1 overall pick in the 2011 draft at 0-10.
The threat of a benching seems to have resonated with Vince Young, who threw 9 TDs to 2 INTs in his last 5 games. He's already surpassed his passing yard total from last season, and is only 1 TD pass short of his career high. He carries a career best 84.2 QB rating. Wideouts Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Nichols have benefited from Vince's improvement, each having nearly matched their numbers from last season already. TE Gary Warren has already surpassed all his numbers from last year. HB T.J. Matthews is having a strong year carrying the load for the Bandits, racking up almost 800 yards and 9 TDs in 10 games. He has a quad strain and is questionable for this week, but has not missed any time this season. MLB Nick Barnett continues to have an insane season, tallying 14 sacks already, leading the NFL with five more than second place.
For the Browns, Carson Palmer is on track for another 3000 yard, 30 TD season. Reggie Bush has only started three games this season due to injury, and Austin Barrie has used that time to accumulate nearly 1000 yards on the ground. On D, DE Erasmus James has had an extremely disappointing season, especially for a contract year. He has only 2 sacks and 21 tackles, compared to 14 and 34 last season.
