Hey everyone! How are you all this Saturday night?

I was quite shocked to find out today that my daughter bought a pair of jeans for $500. Which brings my question of what is the most you've spent on a piece of clothing? And why?

Short blog :)

God, how long have you got????

basic stuff I spend very little but for work and going out I spend a shit load mainly because it lasts longer...

Last great buys were $400 dress (aussie dollars), $200 shoes, I have spend $650 on a dress before but you see I still have it after 6 years....

I usually spend big on classic items I won't have to replace that often, but for t shirts, skirts that are casual no hardly anything....... but it makes sense to spend big on items you want to last though.....  depends on how you were bought up I think??

I do usually spend more on items that I want to last for awhile or something special. I don't think you can ever go wrong spending a bit more on wardrobe staples.

I thought I brought my daughter up with a bit more sense, but I suppose denim is something that you can keep for awhile. Assuming you don't change sizes.

Ouch. I've never spent $500 on any one thing. Especially on clothing. I've found that a lot of my cheaper clothing can last as long as any other name brand product. I went to a sneaker outlet and paid less than $30 for a pair. That was a long time ago.

The most expensive clothing item I own is a suit. And it only cost me $200. Then again, I'm very, very careful about my money.

Jesus, $500 is quite a lot for a pair of jeans. What really makes me laugh is the people who pay several hundred bucks for jeans with holes in em. I make my own holes, natural holes caused by boon's realm of misadventures. My folks have bought me a suit for around $100...that's because I'm a musician...usually I like to get sweet cargo shorts or weird t-shirts at the discount rack...

I've tried cheap shoes, they've never been good for more than one time use.

I think that a nice suit would be the most expensive article of clothing (or articles of clothing depending on how you look at it) for every man.

Boon: I'll never have to buy "holy" jeans. I always find myself crawling on the garage floor or cleaning the bathroom with my jeans on. Plenty of holes and bleach on them.

I have spent some money on clothes.  I think the most was for a purse, but I cannot even bring myself to type how much.  I think I'd have a stroke if my kid came home with $500 jeans.  Now I find it challenging to find consigned or discounted clothes at more reasonable prices.  Men's suits are a good investment, but womens clothes change so much it's hard for me to invest a lot.

I love clothes but I hate paying that too much.
I think the most expensive was a coat -- as for the rest I try my best not to pay more than  70-80$  for trousers and 25 $  for shirts. T-shirts must not go over 15.
    And shoes/boots around 70.

I would pay 500 just in case I am invited to the Academy Awards Ceremony...
