I must say that at the end of the day, every day, I do count my blessings.

Today was a good day.  My daughter runs track.  Her school was at an invitational... a huge event.  Today she ran her best time of the year and her team qualified for districts.  It was and is so much fun to watch her run.  Everyone comments on her stride.  She looks like a gazelle.  She ran her little heart out...passed others to take third place....the young girl after her kept them there.  Her relay team qualified.

Then I came home and found my son home for the weekend.  He was getting ready for work.  On the kitchen table was an big envelope......inside a certificate.....it read....Congratulations for making Dean's List at Drexel University.   My heart just opened up wide and beamed.  This from my C high school student who I had to fight with to complete homework assignments.  He has finally come into his own.  He has finally found his way.

Today....as everyday...but particularly today.....I was a very proud mom.

Tonight, once again...I will count my blessings...but tonight I think I will add an extra thank you!

Thanks all....for indulging me and letting me brag for a moment.

Ging....daughter has run her entire high school career.....she does it to stay in shape. She also played field hockey and ice hockey.

My son's school is on trimesters....he is currently doing an internship for a sports radio station in the city this trimester.  He comes home on the weekends to work at a job he had through high school.  He works at a sports themed restaurant.  He is a sports nut so he gets to make money while watching about ten different sporting events at the same time.  lol.

Queen....get back to your studies girl...hugs!

Secret, CW, sweet cookie, skald....thanks for your kind words.

When our children are little, we beam with pride. When they hit

those middle and teen years we wonder where in the hell they

came from haha. There are days all throughout though, when we

are filled with them. Great day, good kids, it don't get any better

than that Jenna................Thanks and take care of you.

mobil....when my kids are happy...I am happy...lol.  I somehow made it through the teen years without any serious conflicts, other than moodiness from the boy.  But yes, you are right....what I have with my kids....doesn't get any better than that...thanks mobil!

Mams....I think she is a beauty queen too.  But I am her mom...that is what moms are supposed to think....right?  We have some catching up to do my lady!!! I am thinking you need to blog about MC.  LOL

Ed....she runs  the 4x8, the 4x4 and the open 8.  She does not run all three events in every meet.....she usually only participates in two events.  The event they qualified in was the 4x8.  Thanks, that was nice of you to ask.

Alyss....((hugs))  Thanks for stopping in....how are you?  I have not kept up with everyone and just yesterday I was wondering about you.  How are things?  I have to tell you when I began reading the evil twin's post....I thought what the heck????? I almost wrote and said where is Alyss....but then I did some investigating.  I read furter and found out he was evil twin number 2.  Whew.....You doing ok?  Sending you love!

Smiling here, Jenna.  Taking pride in our kids accomplishments is one of the great things about parenting.  This will be one of those little jewels you will file away for reminiscing later.  Love to you, girl. :-)
