I don't know if this has been asked before on SC but could someone please tell me why when married friends, especially women, dump their single friends? I'm not asking to go bar hopping or anything like that but I still would like to go shopping or hang out with people that I have made friends with. It is really hard to make new ones at my age.

I can't speak for the other married folk, obviously, but I spend as much time with my friends, most of whom are single or divorced, as I can.  I found that having children cut into my "me time" and "friend time" more than getting married did.

well i dont think its dumping... they more likely they drift away... its just that you married people and single people tend to have different priorities and interest... they are not fond of hearing you complain about your babies bottom rashes they would rather like to listen to about the new guy they met at the bar... they know that once you get married you have different point of view in life already.

I Agree with sweet_cookie. Your friends are still your friends. They will not stay with you using the same time as before, because you should spend more time on your lover.

I was talking to a friend and she asked what is means to be in a relationship today. She had this same discussion with a male friend of hers. What he said in a nutshell was that today people get into relationships for selfish reasons. One may want a rela...
