and that is one of the reasons why i cant let my blog get back to me.. they can punish me for the things i admit to on my blog.. But that is for another post.
Today i am earning one of the most infamous ranks in the enlisted millitary. movies and tv shows are made about troops of this rank. It is a goal of many of my peers to get to where i am and a lot of them never make it.
But today is also my ninth wedding anniversary. this makes today bittersweet. It got me thinking about all of the times througout my career i have had a significant military event on the same day as a significant life event.. for instance: I enisted on my birthday..so now my military anniversary will forever be linked to my birthday.
one year durring a professional school i earned a longevity award for so many years of good service...it took me completely by surprise..when i asked a friend what day it was ( i was deeply immersed in my studies) she told me. and my response was "hey thats my birthday! oh wait thats today???" yep i forgot my birthday..
but then i was wondering how many people does this happen to? it cant be just me, i cant be the only one whose personal life is intertwined with my career in such a way (beyond the millitary aspects) ...anyone up for sharing?
