I'm starting my first really personal blog, to share my thoughts about the society I live in, the life in general and my (maybe crazy) theories about how the life in society is not "natural" and needs some effort from everybody to become even possible.
Our natural desire is to have everything we want with minimal effort. If we can obtain something without restrictions, meaning, without following rules, I believe most of the people will just do it.
What stops us to just go and pick up what we want using any means? Just the rules? There are two main reasons:

the understanding that if I want an organized and civilized society, everyone (including me) needs to follow the rules

the fear of the law enforcement forces
The first reason needs people with a certain degree of satisfaction, with the basic needs guaranteed. People with hungry or without a minimum degree of health and life conditions will not understand the very concept of a "civilized society", because in their point of view, they don't live in one.
The second reason is what stops people of breaking the rules if the first one has failed.
Of course the people, even educated ones, can not understand the concept of "civilized society", just because their society is not fair and have too many privileges for too few people. In these cases the argument that everybody needs to follow the rules is broken by the very structure of the society.
And the second reason only works if it's efficient and fair. If only a small portion of the population fears the law enforcement forces and other part of the population know that they're "untouchable", because of the impunity, the hole rules' schema breaks apart.
Living in a place where I can see every day people that both don't care about following rules because they think that this is for "idiots" and that know that for most of the laws (if not all) they can do some sort of "arrangement" to keep unpunished, I sometimes really feel like an "idiot". That's why I'm thinking in move out to another country.
