With the end of the season, we took over the 49ers to give us an NFC team. We promptly began the process of moving the team to Las Vegas where they will become the Bandits.
"NE Coach" (whose name will not be uttered here) decided to hang it up after a dismal 2-14 season.
The Browns added Cam Cameron as Offensive Coordinator and Jim Harbaugh on Special Teams. We beefed up our stadium stereo system and went for the best possible medical group with our $40 million in profits from the last season.
The Niners unloaded QB Drew Bledsoe to Arizona for the 21st overall pick in the draft. The Browns had swapped picks with New England and St. Louis right before the week 6 trade deadline (it may be abusing the game, but it's fun), so they had the numbers 1 and 13 picks in the draft, so we swapped them with San Fran's #3 and #21 picks to give the Niners some help.
Cleveland resigned T.J. Duckett to a one year deal and shipped him off to Seattle with a fourth round pick for a first (#18) and fourth round pick.

Transactions
Our teams went into the offseason in two different modes. The Niners were in a rebuilding mode, while the Browns are looking to fill some gaps and find that X factor to get them over the hump next year. The Niners let go many players while the Browns resigned a few players but didn't have too many big contracts ending.
Going into the first free agent period, the Niners had a laundry list of players to pursue while the Browns had only a few players of interest, particularly on the O-line. The Niners found difficulty in attracting big names to the Bay and were forced to overspend to try to get free agents to come over.
There were some big names on free agency, including three 90+ overall TEs.
