Is there some sort of skin tissue that covers childrens
ears and makes them deaf to the word No????
Do they not register it? Are they emotionally and
physically impaired to understand it, without it being
yelled at the top of our lungs?????
I try to talk in a soft tone to my kids...even when they've
upset me...but oh...my...god....can they drive the most
patient of beings up a wall sometimes....
Imagine three of them...at the same time...one pre teen,
one 10 year old and an 8 year old....driven, stubborn...
and opinionated....Sighs....I adore my kids...but they
drive me NUTS sometimes....
I was about to get up and off of here...get ready to take
them out....until episode two of the day happens...
First it was son annoying daughter...daughter screams...mom
yells....and then it's daughter wants to open new clothes in
a bag to wear at home and ruin...mom says no once...twice...
and she keeps opening the bag...so mom has to scream...
then...daughter's offended...go figure...
I need a break....
Stayed home from work to spend a nice weekend with the
kids while hubby works...but I wonder sometimes....what it
is that they really want...
They have everything!!!! Sleep over  and friends...nice things...
my attention....but it's never enough....
Maybe I'm just tired...and don't have the tools to deal with it
today...but good god....it's all the time...no peace at home...
Then...they'll forget about it...and give me big smiles...but I'm
so upset and dissapointed that I can't get in synch with them
that quickly...
I sacrifice so much for them....and they can't allow for a
simple...and relaxing Saturday morning....sighs....
I swear...parenting is the hardest job in the world....

my kids are a few years ahead of yours.
I just want you to know that in 3 or 4 years, you will look back at weekends like this one and think ...ohhhh i miss the good old days.

i do not know why, but there are times that are just so hard to get thru while you're living them, but which, when looking back, tug at your heart with nostalgia...

When you have 3 of them and they're pre-teens, there's always fights, loud loud play, practical jokes, and ANYTHING but peace.

Yes. parenting is the hardest job in the world.  24/7...no other job quite like that one.

As a 15 year old of 3 brothers and 3 sisters i knew at an early age what no ment. on the other hand my brothers and sisters havent quite figured thatone out yet. my oldest sister is soon to be 24 and in radiology school and lives at home. mama said she wuld pay for her gas and food while she was still in school however, she still hasnt learned what no means. my other sisters are ages 16 and 17 thayare deff to the word no as well. and i swear all three of my brothers know only a few words. 1. I want.... 2. Why not... 3. What for.... 4. Can I ... I on the other hand am not bragging on myself but i know money doesnt grow on trees and if no is said it is said for a reason that is not to be questioned. my birthday is the 30th of this month and my mama has bugged me and bugged me to find out what i want and i know that she means well but i dont really need anything. but mama tells me that i am the easiet youngan to please and she is glad that i realize what i have realized what i ahave at such a young age, she says it will help me later in life. So i guess the answer to your question is i dont know what causes the word NOnot to be understood by youngans and youngans that aint so young. My guess is that there is some kind of chemical that their brain produces that blocks out the word no.

You sound so much like my son...I guess having 2 sisters is
difficult, eh? Never really considered it too much...always
    thought he was whining....
    I think you're right...it might be chemical...lol.
