Out of everyone, including the real candidates, who is the leader America needs now?

Bill Gates?

Oprah Winfrey?

You?

Donald Trump? Here is an excerpt from donaldtrump2008.com:
"America needs a decisive CEO-Style President to straighten out
Washington – not another politician. We need a
candidate who can awaken the electorate in 2008 with a serious non-partisan political agenda."

Or ____________?

I'm honest, I'm open and honestly and Congress will keep mein check.  Also as a member of neither party I won't be able to get too much bullshit through on sheer party support.  Besides sliced bread ain't got shit on me!
  • TinSoldier said on Apr 20, 2007....
We need George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, and probably many others, all wrapped up into one person.

    Good luck with that!

Sean, you've got my vote. But you need a new campaign slogan. The sliced bread thing has gotta go.

TS, yes we do. That's the same list of Presidents I would've chosen.

But, Sean, maybe you should aim for 2028, and, TS, they don't make em like that anymore.

Even though it would be all but impossible for an independent to get elected, is there anyone you know of, with the money and influence to get noticed, who would do a better job than the current candidates?

  • silverwhisper said on Apr 20, 2007....
honestly, i think we need a larger than life figure who has moderate politics and a genuine interest in bipartisanship. i don't know that we've really had that in a long time.

Ok I think that I shoudl be the next president, I don't know squat about politics and therefore I would be good.

    ed, Donald Trump?

Moha.....Oprah Winfrey actually wouldn't be bad....Can Bono apply? ...lol..

But foremost i really would like a woman.....i am tired to see only men up there..

I want to se what she could do and what they would let her do .....and how the other women would react to her ..it woud be just interesting and different ............

Many other countries in the world has women as leader......France is going to election right  now and could choose a woman .......lets see what America can do...

    ginger,

I don't care if it's a transvestite giraffe, as long as it gets the job done. Oprah would be a good Presidential advisor, like the angel sitting on the right shoulder. I think she'd be better in that position than as the leader. I can't see Oprah ordering an attack on Iran if it came to that. Same goes for Bono.

I think that what America needs right now is a dark horse candidate, some one who states and will not run for re-election. He / she will state his / her objectives and attempt to accomplish them within a four year time period. If they get elected they have a majority backing them, and chances are they can get their goals accomplished without seeing their approval ratings slide too much.

The first time I was consciously aware of politics in my life, people on Capitol Hill were trying to impeach Clinton. Then, Bush Jr. for eight years. Aaaaaahhhhh!!! When will it end?!?!?!?!?!

    Barack Obama for president.

I think we need a female figure. You know, the mother that can go around and patch up our relations with everyone. As for Opera Winfrey...well I think that would be a bit overthetop.

I've never minded Nader either. With all of our global warming fears perhaps we could aim for a greener oval office. In general, I'm looking for an inspired strong candidate. I think silverwhisper hit it right on.
  • silverwhisper said on Apr 22, 2007....
mohamed: no, not trump: i need a president that doesn't make me wince when i think of him/her, which trump's bad toupee always makes me do.

He claims it's his real hair, doesn't he?
  • silverwhisper said on Apr 22, 2007....
i would hope he has enough money to spend on good quality toupee!

mohamed- Bill Richardson. But then, I'm the only one on SC that has ever mentioned him. So this won't get far.
  • mom said on Apr 23, 2007....
Ed- lololol. Poor Donald Trump.  I think it is his hair, if it wasn't his part would be up higher.  A comb over is never attractive. He has money to get a hair transplant.
  • SeanRenaud said on Apr 23, 2007....
Considering the publicity he would have gotten I think if Trump had a toupee he would have lost at Wrestlemania a few weeks back.  I know its a silly thing to be basing iton, but that's convincing enough for me that its real.
  • mom said on Apr 24, 2007....
I got to say I really admire Donald Trump.  Anyone that can do what he has done is ok by me.
  • silverwhisper said on Apr 24, 2007....
