SoulCast reads (2):
As with any idea that's new, it takes explanation and some getting used to. When we launched SoulCast, we had some specific goals in mind. We wanted to create a forum where people could share their raw thoughts and opinions without having them watered down by self-promoting images or gimmicky blog pages. We got excited as our membership began to grow and people were starting to have conversations with each other. But are our members really seeing the reason for SoulCast? Apparently, they are. Check out some great snippets from our very own members who get our philosophy. Feel free to comment with your own testimonial about your positive SoulCast experience!

At first, I thought it was just another boring blog site. But when I started writing my first blog and the readers interacted, you feel like there's a community of bloggers really interested in hearing you out and sharing their ideas. SoulCast got it right with their policy on anonymity and freedom of expression. Still, I wish there was an easier way to access particular blogs as assigned topics and also a convenient way to go directly to a specific bloggers site by just typing their name. Keep up the good work, SoulCast!
  • silverwhisper said on Jul 14, 2006....
it's the sense of community that keeps me coming back, for my part. ...and the opportunity to dispense my opinion at great volume and frequency... :D ed
  • bloc said on Jul 14, 2006....
@FaithfulDisciple you can access particular blogs easily. www.soulcast.com/USERNAME so mine is www.soulcast.com/bloc and yours is www.soulcast.com/FaithfulDisciple easy peasy :) I'm not sure what you mean about the topics thing, but the tags act as topics. If you want to read about "politics" then go to the politics tag. And yes, I love this site too. It has the feel of the old community sites I loved which are no longer around.

Just the thought of being able to help prevent someone from making grievous mistakes is a real great remuneration for me. And so when I chanced upon SoulCast, I signed up right away because along with the inspirational high, this will give me a monetary bonus."

It's all rather enlightening and it really helps one to open their minds. I can only hope that the other people on Soul Cast can get a rich experience, similar to what I'm feeling. ^__^ "

Hey there SC. I just have to tell you that this thing is wonderful whether or not you take advantage of the opportunity for "cash". You can blog and direct traffic to your friend's blogs. I am always looking for more multimedia channels of communication to teach the growing host of "Unwashed" who really need my wisdom. ...Or Not.

I am telling all my friends about it. I think this could be a way for them to take what they normally do online, which is post random thoughts, and make a little money off of it. Plus, I can refer my friends to Google, and earn even more myself. Google almost pays to promote your website!

no doubt, soulcast, you've done a great job, getting a blogging community together that really listens. no frilll, no bling and no nonsense. these are real people with real thoughts real problems and real ideas. i am waiting for you to better the website, but will hang around even if you never did that! by the way, how many users do we have just now? is it 12828 or more?
  • rahatx1 said on Jul 20, 2006....
soulcast is no doubt good, but there should be a bit more hype in the posts, what mostly i found were some grave stories, there should be something more ,, why dont u guys make the layout more attractive, in this waymore ppl would come. there should b templates and pictures and much more spice!
  • hunter_boyce_chandler said on Jul 21, 2006....
SC is great, I personally do not want the distraction of pictures, music, interactive exploding gifs or naked dancing girls that pop up when your mouse rolls over secret switchs. I just want the straight unadulterated unfiltered or censored in any significant way written blogs.
  • uptowngirl said on Jul 24, 2006....
anon - you can click on soulcast's profile and see "who's reading soulcast". that kind of gives you an idea how many ppl are using since we're all automatically added to their list when we sign up. as i'm looking at it now, they're at 15,938! =D

Soulcast is a wonderful idea, really wonderful. But I wish we had more interesting bits of discussions and anecdotes, rather than to see to many views on penis sizes, nipple piercings, wet erotic dreams, online lovers, agressive love making husbands, lesbians feathering each other, shaving pubic hairs, masturbation, fetishes,,,,,,, mmmmmh! Is Soulcast another name for a porno site, or what? Raise the roof man, not swim in the gutter!
  • silverwhisper said on Jul 29, 2006....
if there's something you'd prefer to talk about, create a post of your own that addresses what you wanna talk about, or check out blogs by alienated, bloc, hunter boyce chandler, nospace and a number of other folks who prefer not to post about those things. in a site like this, we're all equally part of the solution to any perceived problem, man. ed

When are we going to have the opportunity to meet the SoulCast team?? Listen to me please. You guys and gals have given all of us a forum that is free of the usual distractions and allowed us to express ourselves in freedom. I for one am proud to be part of the SoulCast family and want to thank you all personally. I've met some great people here who I intend to make a part of my life from now on. Please e-mail me at Broncostar4444@yahoo.com ; I do believe it's a glitch in the system. Once again: upon trying to post, I come to a page labeled "Application Error" with white in the background.

If you going to run a board that is as you say"raw".
then you every key stroke, that is typed on this board, had better stay,
    on the board.
I have been here for a few days, the only thing that is growing is your click count. you may rise but the smart people see right through you. and many do not return.
You might want rethink your mission statement.
True freedom of speech means no tampering.
Let the people decide, not you.
I will check this post to see if it is still here.
That will tell me every thing I need to know about
    soul cast.

I'm reading a lot of opinions, pro and con, about the SoulCast "philosophy." I'm not sure what's different about SoulCast than say, MySpace. Perhaps it's supposed to cater to a more mature group of bloggers than some of the other sites.

Quite frankly, I never really understood the concept of "blogging." I mean, time was when we emailed one another and joined Yahoo forums, chatrooms, and the like, and what's the difference between that and blogging?

The anonymous feature is a welcome change from a lot of other sites. I've never gotten really politically charged with forums or chatrooms because I didn't want to start fights and whatnot, but there are folks who surf the web and have strong opinions on this or that, and an anonymous feature lets them get "raw" without fear of any repercussion.

That said, I never get "raw" with language. I don't like people who talk like sailors, and I hope people afford me the same respect as I give them.

Now, would one of you knowledgeable souls kindly tell me what's so great about blogging?

"Our philosophy is unrealized"...Not today, such a message in the stone age would waste of breath unless you rich or have some mean of idea or technology whichever ways it perceived to be, but today with the help of technology, the blogg, and other social medium, the human voice is ever popular mean...let look at the example of politician, from the the begining of this nation creation, voting although abducated in the constitution of the united states were not allowed for presidential candidate because people lives were to scattered and only were given to partisan politician who did not have the same views as the general population but today with help of technology such norms no longer persist and even with technology people still cheat and do whatever they please... In short, our philosophy has realized thanks to the creation of technology...i can sit home and making money not knowing it. I can educate myself
