I was reading someone's post about not being able to find stuff to watch on tv and I am making an admission:

I am somewhat a reality tv show junkie. The shows I watch are Survivor, The Amazing Race, America's Next Top Model, and I watched  "I Love New York". Can't watch American Idol. I watched the first season and the season when Ozzie's Smith's son was on until he was eliminated. Not even interested in watching with all the chatter because I think it's a gimmick to get people to watch. I used to watch Real World but I think I am beginning to show my age on that one- those kids are messed up.

So are there any TV shows you dare to admit you watch??

I can't get enough of Frasier, Friends, and Mash re-runs.  They just make me feel safe at home somehow..... I have the entire collection of every season of Friends--a gift from hubby!

mystrongopinions:  ( MSO?)     I was going to mention Ugly Betty, but was somehow afraid to! Ha!  Guilty Pleasure!

i like watching reruns of friends, will and grace, project runway, america's next top model, grey's anatomy, ugly betty and oprah...

I like Oprah, too, but I keep missing it because of my schedule.... Hubby thinks it's lame and if he is here, there is the proverbial western on....It's not always worth catching, but when it is, I am at work, or watching what he has the remote locked onto....I just consider it keeping up, like the news on the Internet.  More guilty pleasure, which is what we are admitting to here....!

Absolutely!  The original Twilight Zone on DVD.  Come to think of it, I don't feel guilty about it.

I thought Queen and I were the only ones out here that watches The Amazing Race (TAR).  LOVE THAT SHOW!  Did you ever notice (and this drives me crazy) that Charla and Marla (not even sure if that's her real name) have a foreign accent when in a foreign country?  As if people can understand them any better.  It's like yelling at a blind person like they can't hear you!

Survivor, I watch.  It's going to get mean and ugly next week!

American Idol, I did watch, but just DVR it now and fast forward through the results.  I got so pissy about the show a few weeks back and I'm losing interest as the weeks go on.

Big Brother, I watch that when it's on and I don't even know why!

My FAVORITE real "reality" show is Deadliest Catch on TLC, or is it Discovery...it's channel 39 whatever it is!

I'm sure I have a lot more that I can't even think of right now.  We use the DVR a LOT in this house.

OH, yeah, I forgot about Big Brother!  I have tried so many times not to watch in but somehow I get sucked in!

I have to admit when I was in my early twenties I used to get up early on Saturday mornings and watch the Smurfs. The reason? Someone was describing another character as nefarious and I was shocked that a big word like that was used in a kid's cartoon.   I finally quit when they got hold a crystal and started time traveling. It finally got cheesy.

I can't believe Charla and Mirna are in the final four! I really wanted Uchenna and Joyce to win again but that's ok.

Project Runway and American Idol, can you believe it?
  • mom said on Apr 14, 2007....
I watch '24' religiously.  I also watch Survivor and it is getting good.  I love to watch Beauty and the Geek, The Biggest Loser. I love the "The deadliest Catch", "Dirty Jobs". "Cops", "Americas Most Wanted".  I can miss all of them once in awhile except for '24'.
  • rightwingwizard said on Apr 14, 2007....
I have to admit that I am a total news nerd.  All news all the time, 24 hours a day.
Well, from time to time I watch a sporting event.  Usually however, I am not actualy watching, it's just there in the background.

I enjoy the occasional House episode when I am with the folks, but otherwise do not watch tv.
  • dailyachesandpains said on Apr 14, 2007....
PB:  I can't even belive I admitted to Big Brother!  Allstars was AWESOME!  I LOVED the Smuf's too!  I forgot a few shows that I also catch, thanks to Mom:  The Biggest Loser, Celebrity Fit Club (Starts tomorrow).

Mirna!!! MAN!  I can't believe I knew it was wrong, lol!  We cracked up when the Yield came into play and the Beauty Queens slapped Eric and Danielle (I'm wanting them to win now) with it.  Eric said "Those dirty, dirty hookers!"  For some reason we were rollllllllllling so hard we had to pause it and take bathroom breaks.  They all say some of the funniest things under pressure.  I miss Rob and Amber :-(  they were fierce.  I couldn't believe Uchenna and Joyce risked it all on that flight!  I wanted to cry!

MOM:  Are you just ripping your hair out waiting for Tuesday over Deadliest Catch?  Blake (new Maverick Boss) is such a cutie, too bad he knows it!  I was SHOCKED he wasn't on last year, even after the fall out with the boat owner.  They seemed to have a great relationship.  However, I did hear that his father fell ill and that was the real reason why and he had to do the fishing on his father's boat, I believe in Oregon.

Daily- it will be good.  It seemed he (Blake) was going to be the winner. I do not like his attitude, he seemed to whine a little too much.  I didn't know that about his father being ill.  I think that the owner gets along with all the guys.  I would think you would all have to get along for the most part since the boat isn't big enough to escape, plus everyone has to work well together for it to succeed.  It is a great show though.  Those guys must have nerves of steel, I couldn't do it. Just watching them stresses me.  Have you noticed how large some of those crabs are?  They pick them up like they are nothing. After watching this show I have the utmost respect for them and although I don't eat crab, I will never question the price of crab again.

    Sorry Princess for rattling on.
  • princessbitch65 said on Apr 15, 2007....
Not a problem, rattle away mom! ;))
  • dailyachesandpains said on Apr 15, 2007....
MOM:  I agree with you about Blake, but he's still hot, lol!  I think they're ALL new guys on The Maverick.  None of the old guys from the last seasons wanted Blake to be the Captain.  I don't know how the WIVES survive the season!  Pretty scary!  Those crab are huge!  I said to my Husband that I don't know if I should buy crab, even though we don't eat it.  I was thinking that one more person to add to the demand would drive up the prices...how foolish of me!  I can't believe they risk their lives like they do!  They do get paid some serious cash though!

PB:  Did you watch TAR tonight?  What'd you think?  I don't want to ruin anything if you haven't watched it yet :D  I will say that it looks like it'll get ugly next week...I can't wait!

    Thanks Princess ;)

Daily- I don't know how the wives do it either and one guys' wife went along too!  I would be so scared.  Then they showed how that one boat capsized.  I know that they get paid good, they would have to, the job itself is not glamorous and for how they risk their lives, they still don't get paid enough.  It is some scary stuff.

I do watch Amercian Idol, Trades spouses and love the shows like code blue, Critical hour. ect..
  • dailyachesandpains said on Apr 16, 2007....
MOM:  Yeah, that one wife that's on the boat this year...cracked me up when I saw the beautiful clothes and ADORABLE rubber boots she brought along with her!  On The Maverick, the former captain's wife went with them all the time!  CRAZY!  Yeah, that boat that had one survivor was SO sad!  Can you imagine the survivor's guilt that he will carry around...poor guy.  Heh...our soldier's don't get paid enough.  Come to  think of it, nobody gets paid enough.

Tomorrow night!!!  WOOOHOO!  Hey, what time do you watch it there?  I forget what time I watched things when I lived in AZ, if I watched them at 5, or at 8?

my guilty pleasures would be "grey's anatomy" and "vivir con 10" a chilean soap-opera (living with 10). i don't normally watch soap operas (or local tv) but my sister got me hooked, even if it's cheesy and overly dramatic

I haven't been a particularly happy camper lately. I've been pretty crabby and feeling achy. I've been nauseous and tempermental and I've been driving not only my husband, but myself crazy....
There are a couple of things I've been neglecting, neglecting to talk about, and at first, neglecting to face....
